Every once in a long while I watch something on YouTube without an ad blocker and am just... amazed. It is so much worse than what TV ads used to be. In an 18 minute video I had 5 ad breaks, most of which featured 2 ads (one short, one long). Just. So. Much. Interruption. Total enshittification.

I find it much harder to promote music - especially tours - since I quit Insta and FB and Twitt. Sad that so much of current DIY happenings rely on those shit outlets. And since ALL I HAVE is Bluesky, feels I'm screaming into the void. HAHA. That said, come to my UK shows please. Tell yr friends.

#ResistanceEarth It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since the release of Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." It's not surprising that most of the observations made in the film have come to fruition or are on track to do so. We are living that truth. abcnews.com/US/scientist...

Heard somebody say that “guitar isn’t cool anymore.” I think it’s sad that people would look at it like this. Guitars are cool, saxophone is cool, opera is cool, hip hop is cool, Bach lute suites are cool. Music is just cool and I hope people find a way to enjoy it. #music #musicSky #musiciansky

Can someone please respond to Stephen Miller with this message from Frank Sinatra?

Imagine watching Sinatra, son of Dolly & Antonini born in Genoa & Sicily, respectively, and Martin, son of Gaetano & Angela, born in Montesilvano, Italy & Ohio respectively, (Angela to parents born in Monasterolo, Italy), and crusading against the value of children of immigrants to the U.S.

This Needs To Stop!🛑 Peeps, you DO realize that our non-white friends and neighbors...are now carrying their birth certificates and passports so they can PROVE they are US citizens "just in case"? There is NO version of America where this is OK. Defund ICE. Restore due process and rule of law.

NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇

People are talking past each other in a really ugly way about data sharing, and as someone who has both written terms of service for large-scale digital platforms, and built infrastructure for gathering data for campaigns, it's important to understand the context of threats people are speaking to…

For the record. My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers. I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

It’s wild watching every advanced agency developed during my lifetime be destroyed on purpose, by people who want to profit from it and cheered on by those who will be hurt the most because they don't understand how things work.

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.
