Please teach your parents and grandparents that ChatGPT isn't an authority?! I'm in the waiting room at a big cancer institute and overheard an older person explaining to a nurse that "ChatGPT told me to take this medicine at this time of day..." even though the actual instructions say differently 😱

If we’re going to make any progress, we’ve got to quit engaging with the pretext. The DC invasion isn’t about crime, is about authoritarianism. Occupying LA isn’t about immigration, it’s about the racial hierarchy. Stop engaging with the phony pretext.
Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

NEW: Scientists made a sugar-coated nanoparticle that blocks the SARS-CoV-2 virus from binding to human cells — cutting infection in lab tests by ~99%. Not a vaccine. A microscopic shield. 🛡️🦠 www.news-medical.net/news/2025081... #BlueSky #MedSky 🧪 #IDSky #SciSky#fmsky #pedsky

I'm really interested to see studies like this and with bigger sample numbers- how I describe my quick muscle fatigue to my PT is like: that lactic acid buildup feeling that I used to get after a long workout, I now get in my arms when I try to fold laundry for 30 seconds.
1) Spanish researchers exposed muscle cells to serum of ME/CFS and Long Covid patients and found: - reduction in muscle contraction strength - upregulation of genes involved in protein translation - elevated oxygen consumption

@willbunch.bsky.social is speaking the truth here. Read and learn, then raise hell. “Yet, if we don’t raise our voices immediately, that ability could disappear quickly. The moment to scream “Never Again” is right now, not during your grandchild’s history class.” share.inquirer.com/Oom3jO

when RFK says he wants to “end chronic disease,” what people hear is “he wants to cure us” but what he means is “i want to cull the weak”
Republicans are waging a generalized war on science, but I think many of them don’t fully grok that RFK isn’t at war with science alone or per se: he’s at war with sick people, and of the view that only the lucky should be allowed to survive into old age. They are know nothings, he is Mengele.

PSA: There’s a difference between wearing a mask or respirator & wearing a gaiter or face covering to disguise identity. It’s important to discern & communicate this nuance because if you don’t, you might encourage elected officials to ban masks for everyone, which would be a public health disaster.
I just finished reading Back After This by @lindaholmes.bsky.social and it was SO delightful. I genuinely laughed out loud so many times, I scared my cat. Highly recommend!! 🥰

If I am right about masks, which I am, and you wear one, you protect yourself and others from a disabling disease that we are still learning fun new (horrible, upsetting) things about. You also protect yourself against other things, including allergens, cigarette smoke, and lettuce in your teeth.

Trump's rhetoric works because he TELLS LIES and then USES MEDIA AND SOCIAL STRUCTURES TO REINFORCE THOSE LIES. Trying to prove him wrong doesn't work because he'll just tell more lies. The people in his thrall are not convinced because they examined the evidence and found it supports him.
