I had to put my phone down and go outside for a bit after I watched this.

Jason Koebler@jasonkoebler.bsky.social

it’s forbidden content but i have watched this video of the AI songs a man made for his mistress after murdering his wife being played in court maybe 20 times today. It is one of the most compelling things i have ever seen

One of my earliest memories is of my grandfather waxing poetic to me about how Dr. Salk 'saved them all' with his wondrous polio vaccine. Made certain that I said the good doctor's name correctly because of how much he respected him.

This post is unavailable.

This was a guy who voted straight ticket republican despite having a union job that his whole family depended on because he was just that racist, and he still considered the polio vaccine to be something just short of a miracle.

Of course, if he hadn't died shortly after retiring 23 years ago he would have been staring at fox news this whole time and would probably now be saying this exact type of bullshit instead.

Rolled into work 2 minutes later than I usually do so I could finish out 'The Blue' by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit playing in my car and that was the best call I've made all day.

John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls enters the studio one fateful afternoon in 1995 to find his two fellow Goos awaiting him. "Are you guys ready to rock?", he asks with his back to them as he sets down his large guitar case. They both look to him,

"Well of course, John. We are always ready to rock with you. But... we can't help but notice that you've only brought along your acoustic guitar." Rzeznik turns slowly to them as he pops the latches, ".... that's right." Broad smiles of comprehension slowly spread across their faces

Goddamned car wouldn't start after work. Everything electrical seemed to be fine but it just wouldn't fire up so I had to have it towed to the shop for them to find an obstruction in my fuel line. And you know what it was in there? It was United States Senator Mitch McConnell.

They've put out a lot of the Halloween candy already and imagine my surprise when I was digging around behind an empty box for some of the spooky Payday bars and instead I found Senator Mitch McConnell!

The power is out for half of the town I work in. Like, OUT out. No traffic lights, nothing. It was like that when I came in at 10pm and its still like that now at almost 3am. Have not seen a single emergency vehicle and they're not directing traffic at the dark intersection out front. Very cool.

This is making me feel very sick.

Trump: These young beautiful girls, these young beautiful girls, these young beautiful girls in the White House, they come in. Now I'm not supposed to say beautiful, but what the hell. These young, these gorgeous, beautiful girls, they want to be safe and they come say Mr. President, thank you, sir.

Put on 'Right Now' by Van Halen before I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and it felt like the most important goddamned peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I've ever experienced. Try it!

God, this is fucking infuriating. Especially considering that 25% of the country immediately internalized the lie that antifa vandals did this and even showing them this would not change their minds about it.

FLASH: Justice Dept seeks to dismiss Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool criminal case against former Olympian David Hearn Trump Admin acknowledges: "Damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in June 2026 was the result of flawed installation by the contractor"

"At some point you have to ask yourself, am I squirting this pile of ketchup next to my french fries because that's what is in my heart? Or am I doing it because it's what is expected?" -excerpt from my forthcoming book on the topic

*after being called out for dumping steak sauce on a burger one day after I posted this stupid shit* "Contrition, when you stop to think about it... is a funny word."

Heading out to the Sorghum Festival, might stop in at Apple Days. After that probably swing over to Ham Days on the way to Pioneer Days after a quick stop off at Railroad Days. And of course tomorrow there is the Bluegrass Festival and Riverfront Days. Lotta goddamn funnel cake.

My favorite band ever did a timely repress of this badass shirt from like 15 years ago and even though they called it quits back in 2019 I got confirmation when I ordered this thing that they have booked studio time for september and Ghostlimb are officially a thing again, bless us all very much

A split vote of the Burgin City Council advanced an ordinance to annex Mercer County land where a massive data center has been proposed, angering residents in attendance.

I understand that its hard for most people to accept that Alex Jones, former host of InfoWars, popped like a balloon inside of his vehicle after having consumed a tremendous amount of Whataburger but it is not hard for me. I accept it fully.
