White Queer people, stop comparing anti-Queer bigotry to anti-Black bigotry challenge-- They used to bury Black BABIES from the neck down, punt their heads off for fun, and use the bodies as gator bait for BEING BORN. BABIES I promise you, they are not nearly as closely comparable as you think.

In reality it was a suicidal, drunk, white nonbinary trying to get a Black nonbinary, who they knew very well, killed for not letting them drunkenly wander to a rooftop (without ever getting closer than 15 feet to them btw), upon a mutual friend's request, but would the cops know that? No.

Y'all know damn well that this shit is not equivalent the moment it gives you power over someone who isn't white like you. Thats why so many non-white Queer people form separate spaces, because we know you'll throw us under the bus when you feel like you need to.

Both are inhumane forms of bigotry with centuries and centuries and centuries of horrific violence, but dude one is literally based on "What did your grandpa's skin look like? brown? yeah we INVENTING torture for you for life" and one CAN be hidden even if remaining hidden is fucking awful too

Literally the first time I had a racist threaten to call the cops on me to *deal* with me it was a Queer person who knew the police would just hear what they thought to be a southern white woman claiming a strange Black man was harassing them

"horrible things happened to me as soon as I began expressing myself, hiding who i am is torture" But did people just look at your parents' skin and decide you were sub-human before you even popped out the womb? if you/your mother even survived childbirth with purposefully worse medical care...

Being seen as CATTLE before your PARENTS are even born is NOT EQUIVALENT to facing bigotry the moment you start showcasing Queerness... which, btw, was hated LESS around the world before racism was used as a tool of colonization. Anti-Queer bigotry's modern prevalence is A BYPRODUCT OF RACISM!!

When Black people say "I'm Black before I'm Queer," that is not us downplaying the bigotry you face - that is us saying we were being attacked with a form of violence that is the foundation for 600 years of injustices around the world before we even had a chance to realize we were Queer ourselves.

It is an immense privilege to have GUDIYA discussed critically alongside other great works like Devi, Sinners, and Obsession 🫣 I'm so grateful to have gotten to work with such a talented cast and crew 🦚 Go watch this review, y'all! & then watch the others Amaan has done before!

Didn't realize I was gonna be THAT quick about posting it but here's the video. We talk and review GUDIYA, a Bluebeard's Bride Actual Play by @namelessdomain.bsky.social . @dungeonminister.bsky.social was a wonderful guest and an excellent person to talk to about this. youtu.be/aOsztTqlu4Y

"In space, no one can hear you scream..." newsflash, Ridley Scott, you dont gotta be in space to not be heard. people on earth will pretend not to hear you crying and screaming just to avoid inconvenience, and if you get too loud to ignore, you'll be hushed and shamed for disturbing the peace

The memorieeeeeeessssssss Editing for Blood in the Snow was so fun, excited to finish working on what I'm editing now...

🩸Stay sharp, my knights. This forest plays tricks.🩸 The Illusory Forest's caretakers seem to have taken offense to the lack of care for collateral damage that Sanguis Populi have brought... Act 2 of Blood in the Snow is now available everywhere. Links Below🔽 1/4 #ActualPlay #TTRPG #AudioFiction

New episode day!! 🍂Strangers in the Wood 2: Road Trip🍂 Episode 1: What's Wrong With Quiet Little Town? Walter guides the crew to Quiet Little Town, home of the Double Hog Bar & Grill to lay low after their escape from Oak Creek. Turns out he’s been gone longer than he thought. Episode info🔽

This new head of locs are already off to such a significantly better start than my first had, I've been enjoying the process of restarting since I felt so heartbroken after cutting off my last set nearly 3 years ago. My old ones (below) ended up beautiful, but I wanted a full head, so here we are!

My hair gets so thick that if they kept getting longer theyd get too heavy without the sides for stability + i just like the look of a full head better

That said I still have the old locs sealed away. I wonder if 3 year old, chopped off locs can be reattached to the head since they were so clean and kept sealed this whole time 🤔

this thread is timely if only because people who have made their entire personality How Much They Hate Something are going into straight up meltdown mode because the options are now more aptly - overun bot and Nazi site - AI built 'cozy space' - everything else that won't get support

if we want to be fully honest and critical about the whole X v. Bluesky thing, I don't think we need to explain why X is a shithole yet people are still there. Bluesky however seems content with Where It Is, sitting on an edge of 'not quite hell, but really feels like it' and its disappointing.

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

the psychological strain of having to explain your humanity to someone who only sees the interaction as a lecture or an argument and not a plea to be understood

ttrpgs can be funny bc there are games with mechanics for "failing forward" where you earn XP for failing, ALSO you take advancements immediately, AND sometimes the advancements available to you are resources not actions/moves Failed to convince a crowd to evacuate? You have a secret lair now.

"Aw man, I got punched in the face bc I failed to dodge, but I do get the last XP i need from that, so now I suddenly own a spaceship. Don't question why it's not been mentioned in any of the last 6 sessions." Like, yeah, I'll accept the spaceship, but it is a little funny

Lowkey it's kinda crazy how David vs Goliath is the ancient equivalent to someone pulling up to what was supposed to be a 1v1 brawl with a big ass pistol, blew Goliath's shit smooth off, and got praised for the next 2000 years for doing it

I was just watching PAC wrestle a regular match last night in front of a Chicago crowd chanting "He's OUR Bastard"... RIP to the man gravity forgot...

Love that the AEW All Out main event was flashbacks to the Death Rider Reign of Terror and showing why that could never happen again: 1) Ospreay gathered a crew to have Hangman's back, and again gathered a crew to have his own back 2) Moxley has changed, he respects the locker room more post-C2

saw that Orville Peck photoshoot and at my first glance I thought it was my man Bandido imma need these two to lock in and drop the coolest wrestling entrance of the year, theres still a few months left

jack perry... calling out samoa joe like that... its like standing at the edge of a dock overlooking the sea and yelling "HEY GODZILLA, COME OVER HERE, BET YOU FUCKING WONT" and expecting to walk away alive

it took THREE buckshot lariats from FRESHLY MINTED WORLD CHAMPION Hangman to knock Samoa Joe down and even then it was ONLY enough to snag a 3 count, that mf was on his feet swinging again after the bell before Hangman could even celebrate 😭😭 Jack... ur gonna die lil dude

saw a clip of a white celeb going "Comic cons are disgusting. Why dont YOU take the cash from the audience and refuse to hug them and smile for a photo until they pay up, it's shameful!" and im like... wow... guy whos never worked a tip-based service job cant fathom faking a smile and counting cash

Me if I was told all I had to do was be friendly to people who are handing me $20 per person per photo for 3 days, BUT I have to count the money myself (I get uncomfortably flirted with by entire Bachelorette parties while handcuffing them in escape rooms for tips on a regular basis)

"Why wasn't this piece of art more explicit with its messaging" cause it would have sucked ass Bob. Telling people the truth isn't as effective as making them experience it. That's why it's art and not an essay.

A "world builder" whose worst enemy is words having meanings instead of just having aura "They're an empire, but they're not imperialists, i just think Empress sounds cool"
