Visiting a generally red state in a time like this actually gave me hope. Shoutout to the Cracker Barrel in Lexington, KY who was selling copies of American Idiot. I love you. The vibe this year was totally different. Lex seems more tolerant and genuine than my hometown at this point...

When people leave hateful comments for the @nws.noaa.gov when they're literally doing their jobs WITHOUT a lot of their funding and tools, it makes me so angry. Stop hating and start pushing for the changes that would further our knowledge for better forecasts and more timely life-saving warnings.

I could be like others and whine about how I got a tornado warning via EAS at nearly midnight on 4/16 because the warning included part of my county that is west of me. BUT I WON'T. Because I appreciate Mount Holly's dedication and choice to send a warning to a whole county JUST IN CASE.

About 70% of the U.S. economy runs on consumer spending. But as wealth concentrates at the top, the richest 10% can’t spend enough to sustain it — while everyone else can’t afford to. Reminder that trickle-down economics simply doesn’t make sense. It’s a hoax.

If the Republicans want to force everyone to have a specific voter ID in order to register to vote, they should also mandate that a convenient and free voter ID be provided to all American citizens.

Voting is supposed to be a right. Not a subscription service. Not a membership club. Not a “premium feature.” If barriers to voting keep getting higher, who gets left out? #SaveActIsPayToVote

Al Gore. Hillary Clinton. Kamala Harris. Just think where our country - and the world - would be today if the people who’d won their elections had been allowed to win their elections.

This is the convective storm and tornado outlook for today. Multiple rounds of severe storms through this evening will yield potential for scattered to widespread damaging winds and a few strong tornadoes from the Carolinas into the Mid-Atlantic States. Those in risk areas need to be weather aware

When severe weather hits in the typical areas (usually populated by minorities), people say, "God is angry with those people." Cool, but if there's a moderate risk over the White House tomorrow, can't we be shouting the same thing from the rooftops? :) @thegodshow.com can you confirm you're pissed?

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS... This will be a *dangerous* severe weather situation tomorrow. Please monitor your local weather, know safety protocols, HAVE MULTIPLE WAYS OF RECEIVING WARNINGS, and for the love of God, don't go outside and look if you get a warning. Take this seriously!!!

We know this fight is exhausting. That’s not an accident wearing us down is their whole strategy. But you keep showing up anyway, and that means everything to us. Thank you for not giving up. We’re in this together.

Thinking of better weather today... Our spring preview with temps in the 70s was nice, but now it's cold and cloudy again here, haha. Typical March weather in NJ! I took this picture last May near one of the paddocks at the barn. I love when the flowers start blooming!

As much as I love tracking #severewx, sometimes, I need to step away. Last night was like that after the nasty radar images I tracked through Illinois. I do understand that as an enthusiast, I have the privilege to take breaks. I admire those who work tirelessly to keep communities safe. ❤️

Is there a #weather community on BlueSky? I miss tracking severe weather with others like we did on Twitter before it became a trashfire. It was so nice to learn from others and have meaningful discussions!! And now that the pre-season has started in the US... #wxsky perhaps?

(Small thread) I have a few friends who live in Finland and Sweden, and it's only when I talk to them do I realize just how screwed up this country is. A Finnish friend once seriously asked why I don't eat healthier foods. I simply replied, "I can't afford healthy food." That blew her mind.

I just can't seem to wrap my head around how in some countries, junk food is more expensive. Eating healthy is a CHOICE, not a privilege. What's even sadder? I'm a young adult, and it's been this way for as long as I can remember. WTF, America?

Now, I know there are PLENTY of more important things to criticize about this country. I'm definitely not denying that. But but the government had a chance to fix this decades ago, and they chose their own bank accounts over YOUR health. Just let that sink in.

Over the summer of 2025, my workplace was kind enough to offer me fresh, organic produce that wasn't selling because they knew I was in need. Over that summer, I felt better. I had more energy. I actually felt like I was living and not just getting by. It even showed on my CMP values.

THAT'S how much healthier I was. But once the season was over, I went back to buying what I could afford. And guess what - I started feeling horrible again, no surprise. Meat is a rarity. Vegetables are the same. Both are only bought for special occasions like holidays. That's what I can afford.

Just a reminder: Walmart didn't pay for Trump's tariffs. WE DID. Where is OUR refund of over one hundred billion dollars??? Also, I'm calling it now. The companies won't lower prices because they know the desperate will pay their greedy prices.

This is the story of my life... You are definitely not alone!

Okay, NOW I’m about to open my Pokemon cards. 🤪 Does anyone else ever have it happen where sometimes you’re super excited to do a little thing for yourself but then some crazy shit fully unrelated to you pops off that you have to deal with instead? Or is that just a me thing? 😝

Yeah, they found the underground pedo-ring they've been looking for all these years, and they're doing absolutely nothing about it. In fact, they're defending it. I really believe the modern Republican party stands for nothing.

thedo0dah62.bsky.social@thedo0dah62.bsky.social

Why aren’t we hearing from all those Q-Anon people who accused Dems of the Epstein pedo-ring now that Trump’s name is all over with the other criminals?

The SAVE act also forces states to submit their voter registration lists to the DHS! I know we’ve been focused on voter ID but that’s only the tip of the iceberg !

After a long time of searching, I have FINALLY found a Tell Your Dog I Said Hi sticker on a car!! Sadly, I didn't have my phone on me to take a picture. I knew what I had to do. My pup Monty has been informed. We thank you, random Subaru! @weratedogs.com

One of the nicest sounds in life is hearing people quietly singing to themselves as they crack on with their day. I can’t even express how wholesome I find it.

I never thought that coming out as a Green Day fan would win me followers, haha. To all those new here, welcome and thank you!! I'm a digital and traditional artist mainly focusing on equines. I also did the cover art for an amazing book called Believers by Drew Gordon. Cheers! ❤️

I'm a hardcore Green Day fan, and I absolutely love their song choices for Super Bowl LX. 💚

I love Green Day so much and I’m so very happy they performed‘American Idiot’ because, well…you know… 😁

I'm actually going to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow. I've hated the idea of a toxicly masculine sport for over a decade, but the best band is opening, and between them and halftime, I think the NFL is trying to send a message... ✌️
