This is amazing. Remarkably, when I got married in 1995 (in the UK), I was listed under marital status as "spinster." Do they still do this today, I wonder? (I mean, why not just put "single", because that's the only legal requirement, or why not just remove the category altogether?)

The first residential school opened in 1831. The last residential school closed in 1996, less than 30 years ago. Over 150 years, 7 generations of children were removed from their families, their communities, their cultures, their languages, and their histories. And yet denialism continues to grow.
