Silly when folks go crazy over review bombing, acting like only one project was targeted. I'm an indie nobody and every project I've made has been bombed with a ton of 1 star reviews before the film was released. Larger projects will also have a similar percentage of bombing lol

CarousHELL was released today in 2016. A full decade later and it blows me away that not only are people still discovering the film today, but we were able to release the 4th part this year and people love it. It's been a HELL of a ride for the past 10 years.

Revisted Evil Dead 13 and what a blast. Love how over the top and often times hilarious it is, as well as how everyone gets their asses BEAT Only downsides is Mia being the only one acting like a Deadite & the Abomination being a let down (wish it at least looked skeletony like Evil Ash but of Mia)

It blows me away how many people message me about Warren Beatty regarding my Dick Tracy movie because it means they think 1. I haven't done a ton of research on what characters are public domain like I already did for Popeye 2. Beatty will succeed where Disney failed

If Disney can't stop Mickey Mouse from being public domain then Beatty can't do it for a character he doesn't own lol The only possibility is Tribune Entertainment will argue I can't use "Dick Tracy" in my title because it's trademarked. And I can change it to Detective Tracy

Going to film Wally Meets Dick Tracy in 1.43 ratio for three reasons A: Dick was a comic strip which was squares, so it feels right 2: As a gag I can say it was shot for large format theatrical screens D: Snyder is the blueprint

One whole year without my beloved Gizmo Cat. I miss you so much and I hope you're still out there somewhere so I can meet you again I'm so happy I decided to make silly movies with you so that you can live forever in hearts all over the world. It's the least I can do for all of the joy you gave me.

I always found it funny that anyone thought that killing Freddy Krueger in the real world would get rid of him. Similar to Dr. Manhattan: Being killed in the real world and coming back was the first trick Freddy learned.

Today is the FIVE YEAR anniversary of CarousHELL 2, which is nuts. Was never sure if we'd even make part 2 yet here we are at part 4. There's audio issues in 2 that bug me and a couple scenes I could have tightened up, but so glad this exists.

Check out this great discussion!

This week we're talking with @steverudzinski.bsky.social Pittsburgh based director and Fangoria Chainsaw Award winnner about his new film CAROUSHELL 4 Hear all about what this beloved indie microbudget series has in store Apple apple.co/2SgGJiT Spotify spoti.fi/3uY3Ax2 #filmsky #horrorsky

It's very cool that there's a one shot comic book based on my movies with a story canon to the films lol

My copy of the CarousHELL Redemption comic arrived today and it looks great! Loved the story and am excited to see what else he's gonna get into! Gonna try to find a nice little frame for it and the I: Scream merch I have! @steverudzinski.bsky.social

The atmosphere and voyeur shots are great and the final act is good but this is so boring, I don't care about any of the characters, there's no story or theme to interest me, and they kill an innocent snake for no reason.

A fun thing about being an indie filmmaker is that you deal with folks that think everything is free and insult you for spending "too much" money with a 15k budget AND people who insult you for spending "too little" with a 15k budget (because a movie cannot be made for so little)

Ewan as Black Mask is beyond incredible, the lighting and cinematography is great, Huntress is my favorite role Winstead has done, and the fight choreography in this is the best in DC movies *not* directed by Zack Snyder.

CarousHELL 4 has been upgraded to screening at HorrorHound Fall 2026! On Saturday, September 12th in the 7:10pm block it'll screen at the convention's film festival! If you're going to HorrorHound, be there!

Current ranking of how I feel about my own movies. Putting CarousHELL 4 above Curtains for Christmas was a MUCH harder decision than folks may think, went back and forth on the top spot for a while.

When I'm taking a break from making features I want to do a super short Captain Marvel fanfilm where a lady/femme actor dressed in masculine clothes says Shazam then turns into me (their ideal form)

Wife is letting me watch a Christmas movie during her spooky time so I can continue the DCEU rewatch with Shazam. At least I got a great Captain Marvel film. I'll say all day long the Big Red Cheese has one of the best DC films made. Top 5 of DCEU.

I just don't think the new Friday the 13th show is going to have as many haunted objects as the original Friday the 13th show. A camp? There's a hockey mask??? Why do they have to change everything?!
