Steve (official)

Wow! Over three years since a Total Hip Replacement (THR) and I've finally found out why my hip and back still hurts, and an instant solution to fix it. All thanks to Google AI. It told me stuff medical professionals didn't.

Notice that Farage and Reform are ramping up their anti-Tory and anti-Kemi attacks, because polling shows that the majority of right wing voters are drifting back away from Reform.

BBC Breakfast just had Farage on live for 15 minutes. I didn’t sit and watch it, but I heard him attack disabled people; and he called Kemi Badenoch a liar, and when challenged he repeated it. He said that calling her a “Nigerian scammer” wasn’t racist because she was, and that she isn’t British.

I find it depressing that for all the death, destruction and despair Trump is forcing on the world, the disgusting behaviour, the Epstein files, the criminality, all the lies… yet the one thing that causes Americans to turn on him is the cost of living.

Granada news reader showing us where her “inflatables“ are.

Have a follow of @ourworldindata.org. Genuine, honest stats that really make you realise how much shit we are fed to try to manipulate us.

In the UK, we get given a piece of paper with the candidates on. We take it over to a cubicle, mark a big X in the box we want, fold it in half and post it in a sealed ballot box. Then later after the polls close, they tip the boxes out and count the votes.

THOUGHT FOR FOOD: If commercial wholesale farmers in the UK completely swapped their 3,000 acres of pumpkin crops for potatoes, they could give away 8.48 million bags of potatoes (2.5kg each) entirely for free and still match the exact aggregate profit they previously made from pumpkins.

I'm assuming Man Utd are withing for Blackpool to sack Evatt before they announce Carrick's departure so they can't be accused of an illegal approach.

For research, I asked AI for the environmental cost of producing this image. Spoiler: it has the same carbon footprint as boiling a kettle!

I took the government's advice and did some stockpiling for potential emergencies. So if you're after some Bombay Mix from Home Bargains near me, tough!

Question. If the Democrats somehow are are allowed to win the midterms, what difference will it make? Trump rules by Executive Order, he appoints the Secretaries, the Supreme Court is under his control. They are going to over-rule or ignore any impeachments.

Important not to get over-confident about the Brazil result. Nearly 50% voted for the far-right. They were possibly one major vote-influencing incident/issue/policy away from winning. And the global fascists know this. They play dirty and will play dirtier in future.

New signage in Sainsbury’s looks very cheap and nasty. And they weren’t even in the right positions.

Line of street lamps all blown over on the promenade at Anchorsholme, just north of Blackpool. #StormBoeno

Just had to drive to pick Junior up from a night out. It’s a bit blustery on Blackpool sea front.

Football, huh? Shows what the fuck I know.

Absolutely gobsmacked. Can’t believe that serving half. Total garbage. Embarrassing. Unacceptable. #utmp And it was a bit damp.

Half time. All square. We’ve played them off the park, but conceded one on the break and then it could have been worse when they got a very dodgy penalty, which was brilliantly saved and we went up the other end to equalise. Shocking referee again. We can win this. More of the same please. #utmp

Best half an hour of football we’ve played all season, and somehow we’re losing. #utmp

Would I Lie To You was on telly last night. Pleasantly surprised not to see Chris Mason talking about the Latest Reform policies.

Matchday at Bloomfield Road. If you didn’t know, it’s about 500m from the Irish Sea coast. There’s a heavy rain warning, a strong wind warning, and an even stronger wind warning kicking in later on. Might have to get my big coat out. #utmp #StormBoelo

Anybody got any suggestions for a free non-US email service to replace gmail?

Weatherman’s microphone blown away in wind.

Storm Austin will be renamed Storm British Leyland as it weakens, before dying out completely.

Storm A-whatever: I have left my office window slightly open to create a howling effect and make the wind seem much stronger. I may have to close it if it gets much stronger. I have put a bucket in the downstairs loo, as the roof above sometimes leaks in string winds and a south-west wind.

Weather update: The wind has arrived.

Weather update: The rain has arrived. Still no wind.

Weather update: Very calm. No wind. Light drizzle.

So can we contact the police if we get a reform newsletter through the door, as we haven’t requested it and it’s trying to influence elections?

That's not really next day, is it Amazon?

@scarbiraudio.bsky.social I've tested... Liberty Buds, Oppo Air5, Air5s and Air5pro. Conclusion - I still don't like silicon tips, but Air5 Pro ANC is better in noisy places - but not hugely better than the Air5s and the Liberty Buds in general use traffic etc. My personal choice - Liberty Buds.

Going on Reform's belief that anything you don't like is illegal, I'm off to my local nick with a jar of pickled gherkins.

It's rather funny seeing Reform MPs (and wannabees) reporting ITV journalists to the police for being journalists and then actually doing journalistic things with the information that found by being journalists.

My dog can't push open my office door. So he sits by it and grumbles until I get up and open it. Unless I have food. Then he can push open my office door.

@pjdilley.bsky.social Did you get the email about IFTTT changing their pricing method?

But I thought the whole purpose of a beard was to keep the bits of pastry to eat later?

The biggest take from this is how trump measures everything purely on financial terms. Supporting Ukraine simply because it's the right thing to do isn't something he even considers.

Nothing compares to the blind optimism of football fans after a scrappy win that ends a long poor run.

If you are getting upset at Jackdaw, take a look at this, was on BBC last night. Just watch 4 mins from 20 mins. Coal mining in Mongolia for China. While this is going on, whatever the UK does is futile, purely performative. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
