Been around the block, retired from education, sort of, not retired from life. Now got time for watercolour painting, riding my bike, and playing blues, though not all at the same time. Been glory hunting with Liverpool since Shankly’s days

Not posting anything except this today. I will be with fellow survivors later today remembering the 97 who died, the hundreds injured and the many survivors who still suffer. If you are affected by the events of 15/4/89 and need someone to talk to @hillsboroughsu1.bsky.social are there for you.

One more thing for schools to teach? Perhaps if we made time in the day, instead of compressing breaks and lunchtimes and provided spaces where pupils could socialise. Also get rid of Zero Tolerance nonsense, where children are not allowed to speak to each other on corridors Between lessons

Loneliness among young people is a shocking problem – our response should be to give schools the time and space to nurture the skills of making friendships, writes @mmulholland.bsky.social

This is disgusting. The little feller looks like he loves football. The racists who called the police clearly hate it.

Kavanagh showing his incompetence by not sending off Palmer for violent conduct. And is now handing out yellows as players respond to his lack of control. Dreadful refereeing

Fortunately, the *checks notes* Russian Embassy in London website has Farage meeting the Ambassador in May 2013. There were at least 11 more meetings in 2016. Farage clearly loves the public humiliation of everyone knowing he is a lying idiot. london.mid.ru/en/press-cen...

Of course there have never been any proven links between members of the Reform Party and Putin's Russia. Surely it would be a 'lie' to make such a suggestion. Oh.

So big Ron got a card for waving an imaginary one. Yet half the city cheats ran in waving cards to get Grav sent off.

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

Manchester City cheated Premier League rules, the Commission found. Did it also cheat HMRC? We've examined the decision and leaked Mancini documents. We think City likely failed to pay £12m in tax. There should be a criminal investigation. Thread:
