Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

The current Occupant of the White House is suing every American for $10 billion dollars. FYI, that includes those who voted for him as well. I BLAME EVERY ELECTED ENABLER IN CONGRESS FOR ALLOWING THIS TO CONTINUE.

BREAKING: The White House lashed out at the creators of this ad for "fear-mongering". It must have really struck a nerve. Maybe they don't like being outed as fascists. You know what to do: SPREAD THIS EVERYWHERE! #MAGAKidnappers

We also have to remember that Trump runs his administration like a mob boss. And one of the things mob bosses always do is threaten the families of anyone they want to control. It would not surprise me if mobster style death threats have been made against most of the Republicans in Congress

ICE dragged a mother from her home in Massachusetts—clinging to her baby—without showing a warrant or ID. When neighbors demanded proof, ICE sneered, “We don’t have to show you anything.” That’s not law enforcement. That’s state-sponsored kidnapping. This is fascism & it’s terrifying.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

"Apparently"? You should absolutely go arrest those very real 25,000 people right now. You have their addresses. Go! In fact, if you *don't* find every one of these absolutely real fraudsters and convict them all in court, then that's clearly a sign of your utter failure in office.

The House just passed its budget resolution, so reconciliation is now officially underway. This is their bill to destroy Medicaid and SNAP while cutting taxes disproportionately for the rich. THIS IS VERY REAL and can be enacted even if all Ds vote no. Thread on what's to come and WHERE TO FIGHT.

Ummmm SEIU is standing up for their members big time. Following ICE’s snatching of an @SEIU worker, they’re not f*cking around. It would be a shame if everyone shared this and embarrassed ICE. #4The1st

Every single one of the 210 drugs approved from 2010 to 2016 were built upon National Institutes of Health-funded research, one study found. Most of that funding went to the basic research uncovering the fundamental causes of disease that makes new treatments possible.

Rumeysa Ozturk must not be deported. You can't kidnap someone off the street for their political views — this isn't Moscow. She has every right to speak her mind. I've contacted the Administration. I want answers.

If the Supreme Court ultimately agrees with what the gov't is arguing today, that the President has broad Article II powers that would permit it to deport people & there can be no judicial review, then literally no one is safe.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House. We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication. They own what happens next.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.
