It's so interesting when people find out that other animals are smart. Animals other than humans have been living in extreme conditions for longer than us, how are you surprised they are smart? Animals are worth of respect and living free of suffering just like humans are.

I had such an amazing time riding a Brompton for the first time. It's such a light bike, I didn't get as tired as when I did this loop with my bike. Thank you everyone for the amazing ride, conversations, and company 🚲

Another benefit of a shady rider: when it rains, it keeps my glasses dry! I am team shady rider now :P

Unexpected side effects of getting a shady rider visor is that people get interested in it and starts talking with me about it 🥰 "what a nice bike visor you have" "a helmet and a hat? so smart" thanks @bikebikeyyc.bsky.social for selling them 🤠🪖

Ok, before the update, I still really need your help. Here's the link to the GoFundMe for my legal defense fund. I have burnt through all of my savings fighting this case and we're not even to trial yet so anything you can donate would be appreciated. www.gofundme.com/f/duncan-kin...

Does anyone know if I can find the NIOSH-certified N95 masks easily at local pharmacies?

had lots of fun painting this intersection (Center St x 13th Ave SW) for the "Paint the Pavement" program. Thanks to @stefannibrasil.me (who led the project) and many volunteers, this part of the City is much safer and prettier now! 😎🎨

If you use Gmail, you need to read this. Google’s AI, Gemini, can read your emails, attachments, bank statements, etc. For many, this feature was switched on without consent. Here's how to turn it off 🧵 1/

Rang my bell aggressively for a man driving a car (aka legalized killing machines) to STOP on 5th St SW before turning left on 10 Ave SW, as there was a cyclist going straight. A guy said "these bike lanes are so dangerous". But it's not true. IT'S F** CARS TURNING WHEN PEOPLE ARE CROSSING.

Who in their good minds would say that it's a good idea for cars to turn left/right when there are people walking, wheeling on that intersection? How is this the reality we live in? I never assume people driving honestly consider a person's life to be worth slowing down, but this has to stop.

The guy who said the bike lanes are dangerous downtown wasn't entirely wrong. But it's not a bike lane's fault, it's all the biases involved in designing streets for people that make anything other than roads for cars dignified for people. I also hate how downtown is just a storage dump for cars.

Cute interactions I've had cycling on Crescent Heights: - a guy passes me on his bike and yells "Yay, bikes!" back to me - three little girls walking after school say hi to me when I pass by them 🧡

Got inspired to go on a bike adventure next month after attending the Bikepacking workshop series. I love that we have access to a local shop that builds community and inspires people to get out there with their bikes.

On a similar note: I started climbing because I was super scared of heights! I mean, ridiculously scared. Guess who's now started climbing beyond intermediate routes and is not that much afraid of heights? 🙋‍♀️ Doing things that I'm scared of has become my hobby 🤓

I am scared about my next steps. I will join a whole new industry. I wont' work remotely anymore. It will be so different! And yet, that all makes me excited. I am ready to see what I will find out on the other side. www.stefannibrasil.me/posts/notes/...
