Kim Echlin’s Tell Others: Storytelling for a World in Crisis is a book I think everyone should read. It made me think about how literature offers us hope as humans, how it can be powerful as a force for change, & it made me think about the many stories that are out in the world. Highly recommend.

Monday July 20th at 7 PM in Ridgefield CT I'm reading with the extraordinary Charles Rafferty for Barb Jennes Poetry in the Garden series. The reading takes place at the beautiful Keeler Tavern Museum 152 Main Street.

Some of the racist jerks who revoked TPS status for Haitians don't mind that now no paid workers can take care of Grandma, because they want to force eldercare back into families, as unpaid domestic labor, so women can't leave. It's a whole %$#@ ideology. (Same one that wants to kill me.)

This is a story I did not know.

Great thanks to Azad Repiwar for translating my poem "Father" into Kurdish and having it published in the Kurdish lit journal LEWerger. The poem was originally published in the US journal The Blue Earth Review where it was a runnerup for their prize. The original in English is in the alt notes.
