Mike Rogers claimed 2 years ago that he was not interested in undoing a 2022 ballot measure that codified the right to abortion care in Michigan. But a recent campaign contribution from an anti-abortion PAC left abortion advocates warning that he might back attempts to ban abortion nationwide.

Wow Mike Rogers really must love Detroit! So much so that he set up a sham campaign office that is never open with intense security that partially blocks the sidewalk. Vote Abdul.

My whole thing is - once a company becomes so intertwined with everyday life that it becomes hard to even opt out (can’t find info about local biz, miss out on social notifications, etc…) then that service should probably be a public utility/company. It’s become the cyber parallel to reality.

Trust & Safety is (as @charlottewillner.bsky.social likes to say) all about "tradeoffs & sadness." In the vast majority of cases, the decisions you hate are not nefarious. In some cases the MAY be, which also sucks. But until we know more, don't jump to conclusions or "easy" solutions.

She has absolutely lost the plot. There is not a sane person in the world that believes that this is the DSA. If she were acting rationally, instead of accusing the DSA, she would have reached out to inform them that someone was obliviously using their name nefariously. Be so for real.

Now that we all hate Trump, the worst part is having the newbies think we’re the same. Like, no… if you liked that orange troll ever then you are screwed. You cant get the trump odor off - it will be part of you for ever. He may even be dead and gone, and you’ll be his rep on earth.

I wish more progressive candidates would talk about Medicare for all as FREEDOM. Think about how many people are chained by employer sponsored healthcare - people that could be trying new things, innovating, creating… but are afraid to try because of healthcare!
