buff.lyBetterVoting.orgReweighted Range Voting is a simple multi-winner voting method. Voters give each candidate a numerical score, and a slate of winners is chosen which represents the diversity of the electorate.

Many candidates are mudslinging in the run up to the #midterms. It’s embarrassing! Did you know that candidates are incentivized to mudsling under choose-one voting? STAR Voting and Approval Voting are two voting methods that incentivize consensus-building! Try them for yourself: buff.ly/wWQ6dg9

Today I learned that this could exist as a voting option. What an interesting concept - and most people are already familiar with ranking something from 0 to 5 stars.

New research from Unite America shows only 29% of voters would say that congress represents the people well, and that 62% wish there were more viable independent candidate choices on the ballot. This is not surprising, but luckily there's a solution!🧵 www.realclearpolling.com/stories/anal...

25 July

The traditional voting system doesn't function fairly when there are more than 2 candidates in a race. When there are 3 or more candidates, the majority can lose. Knowing this, voters avoid voting for 3rd party and independent candidates, which solidifies the 2 party system. 🧵

25 July

That's where STAR Voting comes in! 🌟 With STAR Voting, voters can show their full and honest support for each candidate. That creates a path for independent and 3rd party candidates to run and win elections, allowing us to elect politicians that represent the people! 💫

Think how much better elections would be if California had Approval Voting or STAR Voting!

26 May

More and more people identify as independents or as members of a third party. Why then, does politics continue to behave as if these voters don't exist? The problem is that the way we typically vote mathematically trends towards two-party domination.

26 May

The solution to this problem is STAR Voting, Approval Voting, or Ranked Robin. Learn more: www.Equal.Vote
