A pre-launch marketplace does not need citywide liquidity to raise a credible next round. Prove one narrow wedge: a dense seller segment, time to first match, fulfilled transactions, repeat demand and take-rate willingness. Expansion is a later claim; local liquidity is the evidence.

A beta-tester request is useful only when it names the learning decision. Recruit by use case and device, give one bounded task, watch one behavior, and decide in advance what would make you change onboarding, positioning or scope. Tester count alone is not validation.
