User safety is supposed to be tedious my man! That’s the “work” portion of operating a site whose only value is user interaction! You just decided that being irritated by user complaints is more material than the complaints themselves, because you’re two shitheads with a clubhouse.

There's the substance of the signal issue, and then there's the pattern of behavior that jay was responding to -- the constant, _constant_ off topic responses that make this tedious. On the substance, it's really just that the guy didn't violate the ToS. I'm sorry, that's just it

A cop pinned this crash on Lacy with a negligent homicide charge despite their footage showing Lacy a football field behind the accident. He actually slows down and drives around the crash in the footage, b/c it has already happened. Flagrantly false charges on a 24 year old kid & he killed himself.

Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy was nearly 100 yards behind a fatal crash that killed a 78 year-old man, a newly released video shows Lacy took his own life days before he was set to appear before a grand jury

I feel bad about this so let me clarify - this Daily Beast piece isn’t A.I. just because it made a weird stylistic choice in the headline. It probably isn’t! But including a subject’s age when you introduce them rather than when you quote them is an “error” that generative text routinely makes.

Tom Reimann@startthemachine.bsky.social

Putting the subject’s age in the headline is a dead giveaway of A.I.

it's so funny that Greenblatt bent over backwards to these people and annihilated his organization's credibility with anyone left of center to get absolutely nothing from the right

Trump comments on the opposition: "I  thought [I] would be met with fury on the left, but they're sort of giving up."  "I really thought that we were gonna have to sort of fight it through. There's been no fight."

ICE must be destroyed

Teen Vogue@teenvogue.com

Recent reporting alleges that civilian men are impersonating ICE agents to kidnap and sexually assault immigrant women, with cases in North Carolina and New York. Unmasking ICE agents is important, but it’s a Band-Aid on a broader, systemic crisis. Read @kylietcheung.bsky.social's full Op-Ed ⤵️

“Today President Donald J Trump signed a comprehensive strategy to investigate, disrupt and dismantle all stages of domestic terrorism. Common threads … include hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion and morality. Priorities include … civil disorder.”

There’s a looming showdown over the budget so the president is threatening to lay off his White House staff, because he thinks the country is a business and thinks firing people will get His Country The Business into the black for the 4th quarter.

Kamala Harris said on MSNBC, "I always believed that if push came to shove, those titans of industry would be guardrails for our democracy..." Her campaign was steered toward Liz Cheney by Precision Strategies consultants with corporate clients like private equity and Bank of America. Oh, and Uber:

When I was little I thought edgy indie comics like Dark Horse confused me because they were too adult, but rereading them now I can see it was because characters regularly change names and faces without warning
