i have received some very good news and will do a weep

we’re doing fat quarter advent calendars this year. pls buy

18h

i've been cutting out the yellow and purple pants (my idea was: cut both projects out, see how i feel). but i forgot my original colorblocking plan and now i have to buy more fabric to fix it 🙃

19h

things i actually have to do this week: -costume crafting for my incredibly busy kid -buy her a pair of red pants -while i’m out anyway, try to find pieces for my sporclecon costume -two days at work -go to a show -child taxi -see the play kid’s been working on -monitor nc trip situation

19h

-one day creatures -possibly shop for groceries for trip -possibly actually pack my stuff for trip idk

19h

oh then there’s the trick or treating and getting all my work shit in order before i go (if i go)

once again looking up all the candidates for various offices on social media and on a voter records website.. and one with a fairly unique name comes up as having no voting record in the state? what.

his last name is a hyphenate so it's probably some kind of discrepancy in the way search works, idk. per perusal of social media, he's better than the other guy

some candidates lock down social media. some have a bunch of innocuous public posts. other ones have a lot of racist public posts! COOL

trying variations on his name and still says no record. that's weird right

boss: did you make a sign for the truck? employees: sure did boss. real fucking sexy just like you asked boss: what?

i guess i should make a packing list in case the travel restrictions are lifted and i can actually go to north carolina on sunday

j mascis on track star (i don't follow this but i watch them when they make it on my feed) is very funny bc he's like "what do you mean i have to say words"

forgot i had these too

again, not nearly enough of my car is flat and magnetic

i found more

maggie spiders@squishythings.com

found these. i’ve used others in my planners over the years and idk maybe the big circle will work. i don’t think there’s enough space for the actual bumper sticker if i magnetize it.

prolly would have put the ouija one on the car instead of the green radio but that’s ok

kid promised to do four assignments this weekend, one before and after play practice on saturday and sunday. i sorted through a million stickers to locate one for a prize. but only two assignments were finished. no sticker for you

big circle panel crab tote or giant colorblocked yellow and purple pants?

“cheesefake cactus luxury” is what we call cheesecake factory, and there is one reasonably near us that we go to occasionally, where i order the “vegan cobb salad” and it lasts three meals and if they take it off the menu i’ll be really sad

no mother i am NOT sinking into a crevasse

don’t wanna alarm you but i found lularoe halloween leggings in my closet

soup vs donuts? easy. medu vada with sambar. next

the road to the town in nc where i need to go next week that always gets taken out in storms.. got taken out in a storm. surprise! most of the options are bad. yay

my family have all decided to reserve spots on the long ferry leaving at 1:30pm, which will either require me to leave my house by 3am or drive a few hours the night before. WHICH IS IT

Katie Tightpussy, Editor-In-Chief

i spent $15 to book the 4:30pm ferry but checking the limited schedule of the second ferry i'm afraid i won't get to where i need to go lol

i tried to use the merlin bird id app for some bird calls and i think my phone is broken because it's just showing me a picture of my roommate's cat meowing in the other room telling me that he's hungry. they got his name and everything.

norman bates 💖 his pit

made him a cave

baked apple ice cream + a tiny bit of biscoff spread + maple cinnamon frosted flakes = v good

the maple cinnamon frosted flakes just taste sweet, which is disappointing, but the added crunch is pleasant

i still think i should try to finish this quilt top asap but i also kind of want to make something silly that i can fully finish in a couple of days

i could probably make a silly pair of pants or silly tote bag maybe a travel organizer thing, which is a little out of my oeuvre

the way

there's a way to get on the island from the south, which involves taking a 2 hour ferry and a 30 minute ferry. we had to do this once when i was a kid, and i.. did not handle it very well. i'd probably be fine now, i know (mostly) how to manage my motion sickness

but i had planned to drive myself. it should be a 9-10 hour drive. the ferry route is more like 12-13. eeesh

likely that all our reservations get canceled and we.. idk i guess we reschedule. who knows. don't live on a barrier island, guys
