Nothing profound to write – just try to point out reality. Hate Brexit – no time for its proponents. Blighted by OCD. Prone to sarcasm. If occasional profanity offends, you're in the wrong place.

Using his criterion of a scammer=a liar, the 'Clacton scammer' struggles to convince

Farage tying himself in angry knots here ... as he refuses to answer the basic question: Is it racist to call Kemi Badenoch a "Nigerian scammer"?

Absolutely this ⬇️

Seems like Labour cannot even have an honest conversation with itself about EU free movement. Is it not time that someone had the courage to say that the referendum was simply a vote and not some sort of sacred act, and that votes can be reversed over time? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

The cameraman/woman could have turned this into a bigger pantomime by simply shouting to Farage: 'They're behind you!' All Farage needed to do was turn the lectern 180⁰ and face the other way. W⚓️!

It's lucky for us that the Ukrainians are not the expansionist that Russia are. I know necessity is the mother of invention but Ukraine are insanely focused on these developments so they can exist and survive.

It might be just me, but… I'm struggling to get my head around the likes of #SemiBadenough et al complaining about the level of Social Care payments (D62) by Labour which at 28.62% x total central gov expenditure, in Q3/2026 was the highest since it was elected in July 2024. …1/

Of the 62 quarters of Tories' governance between 2010 and Q2/2024, their D62 expenditure as a proportion x CG total expenditure, was only lower than Labour's lowest expenditure in 13 quarters! All periods in which Tory D62 expenditure was greater, is shown in cells highlighted in red. Weird! 🤪 …3/

As a U.S. economist, I’m rooting for Team Canada. If I have the opportunity while the tyrant’s attacks are ongoing, I purchase Canadian products before I’ll spend on U.S. goods. That may be tough for our domestic producers, but they need to speak to the mob boss and force changes.

No, they were middle-aged men wearing powdered wigs, elaborately embroidered hostess jackets, silk hose, and shoes with enormous buckles and substantial heels. In other words, our Constitution was written and signed by drag queens.

I don't remember Badenough, Hunt and the rest of them, getting their arses in their hands about the Social Care expenditure then, even at a time when they were decimating the defence sector and NHS along with many others. …4/

When those data are examined from a slightly different perspective, between 2010 and Q2/2024, Tory D62 expenditure as a proportion of total central government expenditure was higher than Labour's highest level in Q3/2026 (28.62%) – on no fewer than 35 times, but that's different, for… reasons. …5/ 🤷‍♂️

Comparing the Conservatives tenure between 2010-2024, with Labour's lowest proportion of CG total expenditure made up by D62, it seems odd that the Tories have only now, got in a lather about it.…2/

When the United States holds back intel that can give early warnings of incoming Russian missiles and drones, people die. Children die. Here is another of the children at the park who were just slaughtered in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Trump is planning to help Russia with $5-7 billion. Call your senator.

In this stroller, there is now nothing but a bloody pulp. This is all that remains of the baby after today’s Russian shelling of a park in the Kharkiv region. #MadeByPutin #FinancedByTrump

Given the propensity for @news.sky.com to concentrate on contributors' opinions of news, rather than news, I'm surprised it hasn't invited this herbert (Hannan) onto its paper review or Cathy Newman Show. Tho' with frequency of his appearances, Newman's show should be called the Kwasi Kwarteng show.

Yes, but your two big ideas so far have been police and crime commissioners and Brexit. Shall we check on them first?

Fun fact. The 🍊Shit Gibbon claimed that Burnham's sanctioning of drilling in the North Sea (actually for gas, not oil), will make the UK very wealthy. If calculations for Shell are correct, first year output (£11.8 billion) will cover UK's debt interest payment for Sept 2026 of £10.933 billion! 🤪

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "This is a disgrace. The mother said that Amy Acton is a liar and she's no good. And you know what? I don't think you can get a better reference than that."

A great read that, unfortunately, will go way over the heads of the people who really need to understand these matters.

Torsten Bell@torstenbell.bsky.social

What is Kemi Badenoch’s new big idea? Exactly the same as the Conservatives’ old big idea: unfunded tax cuts. It’s the lack of imagination as much as the fiscal incontinence that stands out torstenbell.substack.com/p/kemis-big-...

How dare anybody accuse @news.sky.com of being gimmicky for hosting a business wargame scenario, instead of concentrating on doing something to which its name alludes, i.e. broadcast the news… and that doesn't include providing the *opinions* of the news from self important herberts/failed Tories.

In the unlikely event that Melon Trump managed to secure a meaningful and enduring cease-fire in the RU-UA war, it would be fantastic if it did result and she was subsequently awarded the Nobel Peace prize and not the 🍊Shit Gibbon… again.

Confusing Jackdaw with Rosebank (mainly) oil field, Trump said: "Andy is getting it done, and I guess it's against the liberal principle, but he knows what's right. It's going to make UK a very wealthy country." When one checks the change in GDP/GVA it won't make UK wealthy. bsky.app/profile/squi...

…being benefits of drilling in Rosebank & Jackdaw fields, once again, the gains to GVA/GDP are superficial. The nominal figures are even stated by Shell and Equinor… so there is no smoke and there are no mirrors involved in the calculation. …END

A priceless study of a blatant gaslighting story by #trump and #musk falling to pieces. Would smirk if the human consequences of the actions of these horrible people were not so severe for #ukrainians. Now I am just again so mad that these evil assholes hold so much power over the fate of Ukraine.

The US government is now asking Elon Musk to restore the access they say was never removed, Elon says was shut down by the US government, and both briefly tried to pretend was down due to a technical glitch, in between darkly hinting Ukrainians deserve to die for being stubborn or ungrateful.

Thinking back to the days when I used to visit some industrial businesses & saw signs indicating the number of days since their last industrial accident; I can't help wondering if a sign like this is displayed at the entrances to the @news.sky.com building in Osterley and studio in Westminster.

Two current topics combine in this clip. • Rosebank oil/gas field and • Media misinformation @annabotting.bsky.social claimed that if developed, Rosebank could provide between £20 billion and £40 billion worth of oil. She apparently knows something that potential developers Equinor don't. …1/

According to Equinor's own response to the then SoS in July 2025, the addition to GVA of 25yrs output from Rosebank would be ~£25bn. Nothing of the order of £40bn. The only reference in the document to the digits "40" are a footnote and some %ages of the amount of total oil that UK imports. …2/

The excitement this has generated can be gauged by the effects Rosebank's (& Jackdaw's) potential output would have on GVA (GVA) compared with 2025 GDP/GVA. As reference to the data in my old post reveal it's negligible & not worthy of the excitement. bsky.app/profile/squi...
