hi I completely disappeared for the last month and the reason for that is very boring

Arastryx@storyteller.monster

I've been making a big push to be more productive lately, so I've been looking up kanban apps. In the current era though, I'm getting really tired of cloud services and subscriptions, and a lot of the offline kanban apps didn't do what I want. ...so I just made my own from scratch!

On the bright side, I now have a place to dump and act upon pic ideas very easily! With my whole productivity push, I'm hoping I'll actually be acting some of those pic ideas too, but hey fingers crossed

My previous encounter with @squeaky.monster's Malvuar appears to have left a lasting impression on my Chromaticollar...

Recently came across @malevolified.bsky.social's Guarians! ~~So of could I had to do a character TF into one.~~ You should check them out, if you haven't!

Idk if I'd ever be able to do this, but I'd love to do something like that wereguar drawover as a real life art installation. Something of a huge inflatable wereguar climbing down the side of a building, glaring at a you. I lack the skills/materials to do this but it's fun to daydream about haha

[intentionally phrasing it as ominously as possible] aah wereguar always finds a way to escape containment

LRP: Obsessed with the texture on that thing, very much the kind of thing you would find on reguar or wereguar or like 293847 of my other characters

I am super busy this summer (and will continue to be busy for a little bit yet) so I figured I should render a quick mal typh to keep me fresh teehee

So, I originally had a whole spiel planned for contextualizing the leviathan kite, but now that it's seen the world at large, I feel much more comfortable letting it exist naturally as it is. I find it very gratifying to see people creating their own interpretations of my designs :)

It's funny, I actually stumbled upon it by complete accident. I'm happy I did; it was a delightful, memorable experience, but I was particularly enthralled by a specific design, which after much frantic research, I now know is referred to as a "Trilobite Kite"!

Having spent so much time researching these, I am now completely enamored with them and I legit want to pick one up at some point. For now, the leviathan kite is my own rendition of a trilobite, distorted by my own aesthetic, growing and growing until it became the sky itself

An entity in the form of a massive kite, four equally long 'tendrils' gently billowing behind it in whatever breeze that flows through the open intakes. Something of this size would easily take anyone along with it, yet the strongest force when holding the string is akin to a gentle tug. #SizeSky

That said, I do still want to take a moment to gush about what originally inspired it in the first place, since it's actually something that's been on my mind for a while now I went to a kite festival a while back

Hey, I just want to say quick that I am absolutely delighted by the reception on the leviathan kite! Initially, I figured that it was so niche and me-specific that it'd be completely inscrutable, so the fact that people have developed an understanding for my work is incredibly validating

I'll provide context for the last pic when I'm not delirious, but I cannot overstate how bizarrely transfixed I've been by this concept, I cannot explain it. The idea of a kite monster so unfathomably massive that it fills the sky is so delightfully terrifying that I can't stop thinking about it

This practically feels like eldritch knowledge to me, I feel compelled to think about it. Wordless, unknowable and unfathomable, but so hypnotic, riding the wind up and down, up and down,

Carried only by the gentle breeze on your back, its form undulating, folding, compressing and billowing endlessly, it rides the winds like a leviathan in the clouds, so massive that it dominates the sky. And yet you hold it your hands, the line light as a feather, guided by only the gentlest touch

And as it swims through the sea in the sky, as rides the drafts like waves in slow motion, no matter how much it twists and turns it never stops staring. it perceives you in total silence, with only the white noise of the gales that sweep through you. the wind sees you. and you see it back

I know every artist has a very different relationship with their art, but does anyone here know the feeling of like, coming up with An Idea and then going from "barely drew anything for three months" to "guy inscribing runes into stone for five hours while speaking in tongues"

On a definitely totally unrelated note, either today or tomorrow, I am going to be posting a pic that is uuuuh strange. It's not even like kinky or anything, except it is but in like the most abstract, surreal way possible. I don't even know how to describe it

Despite how good it looks on him, I feel like Varaxus probably finds jewelry a bit stuffy. How difficult it is to have your form constrained, unable to express yourself. Ironic that something so malleable could be so binding!

I don't own a PS5 and I've never played a GOW game in my life, but I gotta admit, the cube is kind of cute
