The latest version of SpellBot now honors the preferred locale for the Discord server when creating Convoke games. So if you play on a server that uses one of the languages that Convoke supports, those games will now use that language instead of just defaulting to English.

SpellBot also supports Playgroup Live now too! Check out playgroup.gg! It's a EDH tracker with stats and dashboards and an integrated multiplayer play tester with voice chat.

SpellBot now supports EDHLAB! The bot can create lobbies for you to join and play online! Check out edhlab.gg if you haven't heard of it!

One of the coolest things I got at #MCVegas was this set of 25 @spellbot.io D6 from @lexicalunit.com. She hand-delivered them to me in a box with some other goodies. Amy is frickin' awesome!

I'm working on analytics for Convoke and Pair o' Dice Lost came up as the most clicked on card. I kept thinking, "who is playing this card and why?" @seraphsix.com got it immediately tho. The card scanner is being tricked by players' dice on other green cards 😂

I play very often on Convoke on other creators' streams. This platform rocks. I'm not an ambassador and likely would not accept it just to create room for others to be showcased. But I will sing the praises of this site to the ends of the Earth. If you aren't using it, yet, you REALLY should.

The TCC Discord's looking for games section runs completely off of @spellbot.io Spelltable's decision to disable access has greatly hurt the community and games we foster. This is a very disappointing and unfortunate situation, as SpellBot drives over 900 people to Spelltable every day.

Here's a full write up about the situation with SpellTable. Long story short: I will soon be turning off support for SpellTable. It's been great 7 years y'all! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this story <3 SpellBot itself is not going away! We still work with other sites.

NGL, it's cool to see more streamers giving @convoke.games a try. In my limited experience with it thusfar, I think it's the truth.

Suggestion for webcam Magic players, especially steamers: Play your games on convoke.games instead of Spelltable. Development is active instead of stagnant. A lot of cool tools and features are already available. There are plans for more quality of life improvements. Easy to log in and use!

SpellBot now supports up to 10 players for services that support that many players. I also added the Horde Magic format. Convoke already supports up to 8 players! Just use `service:convoke` when running your `/lfg` commands. convoke.games/en/

Hopefully everyone is enjoying a faster more responsive bot! Here's a graph of how long it takes the bot to spin up a new SpellTable game. Things get a lot less spiky and drop to around ~2ish seconds since the recent maintenance was completed. 🎉

Heads up! The bot will be down for a bit this weekend, Saturday night, for scheduled maintenance. I'm not sure for exactly how long. We're migrating to a new cloud provider.

I'm aware of an issue affecting the bot from being able to create SpellTable games. I have a fix on the way now!

There's a new rules: option for /lfg where you can stipulate additional rules for your game lobby. This will affect matchmaking! So users that just run /lfg with any rules will NOT be put into your lobby. People can of course still join your game if they click the Join button though.

SpellBot will now select the format for you when creating games. So if you create a Modern game with SpellBot, you can expect the format in SpellTable to also be Modern!

Big props to @lexicalunit.com for updating @spellbot.io to support Commander Bracket Beta in the LFG command. Has helped streamline the ability for people to adopt it on @tolariancommunitycollege.com's Discord.

SpellBot now supports brackets! You'll have the option to select your bracket from a list when you run the /lfg command. Enjoy!
