there's also a chance you own it from various itch bundles over the years. either way, Episode 3 is Imminent so it's a great time to catch up ^^

soul of sovereignty is 30% off for the halloween sale. that's right, only 6.99 usd for a veritable feast of "women's wrongs" and "rebellion against the church state" and "cute alligator." it's a deal so good there's only one way to describe it gigidigi.itch.io/soulsov

im working on it. i might not hit november like i wanted but it's still this year ok. everybody else is releasing their big projects at the end of this year i didn't want to miss mine

i've been thinking that my next project after episode 3 is completing A MACHINE THAT KILLS YOU. there's been a lot of time to ruminate on my original vision for the direction it takes and refine it, so i'm looking forward to sticking my hands deep in its guts and rooting around

sopy@sopy.itch.io

i never talk about it, but: have you read A MACHINE THAT KILLS YOU? i made it in a month for the menhera vn jam. i'd like to complete the story sometime, but until then, think of it as a prologue to something i'll put out someday. it's about dying and killing sopy.itch.io/a-machine-th...

It's my great pleasure to give a long overdue progress update on our fully human-translated and human-coded English patch for the legendary Tokimeki Memorial 2!

i have a lot to say about the new fire emblem but i don't want to get into it here. still, it might come bursting out of me at some point. so i apologize in advance

normally i would fix the wriggling eyebrow between these expressions but i'm learning to let go of these things. wriggle on, sister

just off the top of my head, but this feels very true... roughly in order of when i first heard them. might be crazy to put the last two when they're so recent but i feel like i'm currently being shaped by a lot of new music these past few years so it'd feel wrong not to have them

it feels like terrorism to put a "knocking on the door" sound effect in your visual novel. but i won't apologize for it

finally smoked this one last night & it was fucking awesome. beautiful, unsettling, eerie presentation, paired with prose that washes over you so easily. SO worth your time

New visual novel: Displacement of Water. sopy.itch.io/displacement... Woman-killing time loop yuri. 53k words. Several routes that lead to one inevitable conclusion. Adults only. No audio. Has weird stuff in it. #ToxicYuriVNJam

trying to decide if i like that new az chike album enough to spend 25 dollars on a concert ticket... i did quite like it. but mannnnnn that kenny mason show i went to earlier this year set the bar so high, i dunno........ i gotta listen to it some more

i bought that ticket before the album was even out but bulldawg has grown into one of my favorite albums, it just hits me right. i've been having a lot of feelings about doing creative work and day job work at the same time this year so it feels very prescient to where i'm at. motivational even

it uses the framing of working a long shift at a day job to talk about being an artist and says so much about both at the same time it just connects with me so elegantly... plus i love to rock out and stuff

looking for a very specific file i haven't seen in five years and finding a bunch of even older spapa drawings. this was buried in a .psd last modified june 2018

spapa work feels a bit slow the past few weeks but it's steady... i wish i had more time and energy for it. i'm worried that i'm going to have even less of that when my grocery store job swings into holiday season mode but i'm going to keep trying

the other day i was told that super mario 64 had secrets and it really shook my worldview. what they call "secrets" in that game have always felt to me like a regular part of the world. i know i'm wrong, but i just can't shake that core feeling. i'm still not sure why

super mario sunshine doesn't really have secrets to me, either. there are missions they call "secret" but they are signposted too heavily. i feel like this stance makes a little more sense. but mario 64 definitely has secrets. i don't know why i can't see that...

something like this? in order of when i played them. if i keep going chronologically from there it gets scary

honorable mentions: legend of dragoon super smash bros melee mario sunshine evolution worlds kirby air ride baten kaitos paper mario ttyd tales of legendia harvest moon magical melody mario party 3-7 ...i could've made this entirely gamecube games if i wanted

gamecube was the first console i had after my parents split, so it was the first video games i felt safe playing since my dad wasn't around as much. so i spent a lot of time playing things how i wanted, which was mostly just walking around and looking at stuff and roleplaying in my head

fell asleep last night thinking about type charts and what i could do if i make an rpg, then had dreams where i was still working on it. some types i can remember making: -savage/ravage (i went back and forth) -frigid (weak to savage) -honne (wind) -splinter (needles of light/holy) -water (water)

lately my brain has been autopiloting into the "images" folder of ep3 when i'm looking for audio files. "because a sound is a sort of image," it tells me

labeling files is so difficult for me because i'm always reaching for the abstraction first and then have to correct myself to find the sensible word for what something is called

for one of my projects i should lean into this so if anybody digs into the files they will discover that i am a complete madwoman who doesn't know what reality looks like, thus enhancing their relationship with the text
