Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Crowdfunder for our film, I was shown the rough cut a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, they've done an amazing job.
However we need funds for a cinema release as selling the film in this climate is an uphill struggle

The full weight of the UK establishment - NHS, the Times, Baronesses of the House of Lords, all misrepresenting an actual full blown scandal of acute child harm.
My research (with @sandraduffy.bsky.social) captures the real situation, centring patient voice

To clarify @transparentaction.bsky.social exists to support proud parents (and other family) of trans people, to take a stand and speak up. Given we’ve recently heard that family members influenced the gender affirming surgery pause for adults in Wales, our action is needed more now than ever.
The first speaker was Adam, who spoke about their experiences at trans prides this year.
The second speaker is @transparentaction.bsky.social's @alicemydaughter.bsky.social, who talks about how one can get involved in action to support parents of trans kids.
On the back of so many brutal cuts to the arts the is would be devastating.
What sort of country do they want us to become? I fear for all the amazing dancers, artists, creatives, tech’s, musicians etc this will impact.
That a miserable country we’ll be.
Andy Burnham's transphobic NHS guidance killed a trans woman who was in hospital for cancer. Where are his tears for her? Where are the journos and politicians calling him out? The man is a murdering piece of shit putting on tears for the cameras.

The whole weight of the UK government is trying to crush trans people like me and I’m just here trying to raise my daughter.
She loves the moon, she gets so excited whenever she sees it in the sky so I decided to give her a closeup and show her some astronomy.
Shame on my ex-profession for failing to stand up to the rampant transphobia within NHS England and within its own ranks.
‘We know our actions will cause harm to trans people but we’ll do it anyway because we either
a-believe trans people are less than
or
b-we are cowards’
Which one are you?
We believe that the public has the right to know the consequences of this policy change. So if NHS England won’t publish the full assessment, we will.

Been really stressed lately, snippy and my BP is through the roof, was trying to figure out why when I remembered I’m trans and keep waking up in the UK every day
I dont want to hear shit about how trans people need to accept "reasonable compromises"
puberty blockers instead of hrt for minors *was* the compromise
2 years hrt and hormone testing requirements for trans women athletes *was* the compromise
taking more of our rights away is not "reasonable"
New report is out today:
Not Safe to Be Me: Young people's experiences of KCSIE and RSE 2026 in England, by Pride in Education and Cool2BTrans.
Our report highlights the UK Government-sponsored harm being caused to trans kids in schools.

If Labour keep pushing trans people like this bash back breaking a few windows will be the least of their worries.
If you back people into a corner, remove their access to justice, equality, healthcare, employment you can’t just expect them to smile and take it.
The disclosure has prompted criticism from campaigners, who argue that involving relatives in decisions relating to trans healthcare risks undermining patient autonomy and fails to recognise that many trans people experience rejection or abuse from their families.
Everyone involved in this decision needs to resign, they aren't fit to do their job.
they stopped the care of hundreds of trans ADULTS because of "concerns" of UNVERIFIED people.
That is gross negligence / malpractice.
My god - these were ADULTS being treated, and their medical treatments were denied at the last minute because of unverified 'family concerns'? How is this even legal?

Thinking a lot about how a person fights the fact that the state has made them a second class citizen without internalising a belief that they are, in fact, second class.
On the things we have to keep alive is the knowledge that trans people deserve the world - just as every person does.
This isn't even about placing trans women on mens wards, as we've seen it's about denying care and not placing us on ANY ward as our presence may offend.
Tempted to start withholding the % of my tax that goes to the NHS as it's apparently of little use to me anymore
Quick Q for those more in the know than me but doesn’t this make a ECtHR Rule 39 emergency request on the grounds of article 2 (Right to Life) and article 3 (Prohibition of Inhuman or Degrading Treatment) a hell of a lot more likely to succeed?
BREAKING:
"An NHS England impact assessment, seen by the Guardian, stated that trans people may also potentially experience discrimination and this could lead to them “avoiding accessing healthcare at all”.

"For years, trans people have used wards in line with their gender identity, under the NHS’s own guidance – without any harm.
The NHS was built on the promise that everyone counts. With this guidance, it has decided that trans people certainly don’t – and some of us will pay for it with our lives."
The fun thing about being trans in the UK at the moment is I can’t tell if that whooshing I hear is rain or my blood pressure surging due to the constant onslaught of our govt.
Best thing is if it’s serious and I need a hospital appt they’ll treat me like a biological man and end up killing me
My blood work does not look like a cis man’s, my troponin levels won’t look like a cis man’s during an MI etc and many other things but sure let the cis people cull us with their bigotry.
QueerAF understands several government departments are set to release similar guidance, and there seems to have been coordinated activity to release them at the same time.
A reminder: I'm working with @freelancersmake.bsky.social to create an urgent and collaborative arts industry Call to Action on behalf of trans freelancers - is that you? Is that your networks/community? In person next Thursday at Barbican, online in November - please help us spread the word!
We urgently need to speak back to the anti-trans EHRC guidance and stand firm for the rights of trans people in the arts.
I'm running two in person sessions at Barbican on Oct 22nd, and two online - Nov 10th & 16th - listening, gathering data, creating a joint Call to Action - will you come?
disgusting statement from a Labour MP
In a mixed sex emergency ward they still wanted the trans person moved to another room, that trans person was also likely in an emergency but is expected to give way and make do with a broom cupboard for the comfort of another patient.
thats how Labour see us.
Dont these transgenders know how upsetting it is for other people that they exists
God how selfish to be a trans person being seen by a cis, think of their poor eyes
...but putting their handy little explanation that a trans woman is a 'biological male' who 'identifies' as a woman, and suddenly the reality of so many trans women's lives and healthcare needs - not to mention safety, privacy, and dignity - completely erased.
Entirely divorced from reality.
Just heard that the Otley branch of the WI voted to close last night rather than sign the transphobic declaration.
Though I’m happy for the solidarity I’m sad that the WI leadership are forcing apart the connections and good of their members.
Can’t show “Protect The Dolls” on BBC but you can make a fluff propaganda film supporting the world’s greatest transphobe, its impartial cause we can all agree trans people are subhuman scum obviously

Could you help us spread the word to as many trans arts freelancers as possible? We urgently need an industry response and roadmap following the anti-trans changes made by the EHRC - so grateful that @freelancersmake.bsky.social is working with me to make this happen - please, join us?

We’re working with Dr CN Lester (@cnlester.bsky.social) to bring trans freelancers together for confidential, supportive conversations about the impact of the EHRC Code of Practice and what support is needed across the creative industries.
Your regular reminder that my daughter Alice’s death wasn’t counted in Appleby’s report, despite her meeting all the criteria. And when I emailed the Tavistock adult GIC to inform them they could take Alice off the waitlist, because she’d died by suicide, they never replied. It’s a disgrace.
QueerAF can reveal figures that show 618 people have died while under the care of an NHS gender clinic, at least 21 by suicide.

Helping spread the word about these brilliant guidelines that @canopyrobin.com and others have put together specifically for trans+ people (anywhere in the world) who do #fieldwork.
Please do share in any networks you’re part of where this might be relevant 🤓🏳️⚧️🤓

What is the rate of “false” diagnosis? What is the actual harm done? Especially when the main intervention is “understanding and reasonable adjustments”?
Or is this just the transphobic moral panic collecting another set of victims?

I'm just going to leave this here, it's a network graph showing Mary-Ann's connections in the gender-critical world. Given that she's already deeply embedded in anti-trans activity, it's difficult to judge her on anything but that.
Every cis person needs to read and understand this. These decisions aren’t taken lightly. Our Labour government is effectively making political refugees of trans ppl and their families who flee and seek safety overseas. It’s shameful. They can stick their dignity and respect where the sun don’t shine
