codex is so cool that it always digs into my node_modules directly to udnerstand the lib without even checking its doc and then gets the job done perfectly...

even better, it can spot out if the issue coming from upstream libs in this way. with github mcp, it can even file an issue or pr!

watched sam harris & jordan peterson's debates in 2018. seriously the most inspiring discussions over religion, truth, and meaning i've ever seen. i'll definitely ruminant on many aspects from them for a long time to come.

a day is long long enough for me to complete two work tasks a day is short short enough that I only have time for two meals

今天看了娄烨的《一部未完成的电影》。 平静克制。却把我又勾回到疫情那三年。想起这土地上太多的集体痛苦。无法控制地痛哭。

So I went to the store and stood in front of the newly displayed M4 machine, adjusted the appearance to dark mode to compare and see. To my surprise, the problem was still there. So I guess that since the MacBook was released with the 120Hz screen, this issue has been present all along!

The Genius and the manager at the store were both silent upon seeing this. They finally said they would report the issue and thanked me for my discovery. I held the computer that had not been repaired, proudly lifted my head, straightened my chest, and walked out of the Apple Store confidently.

A few days ago, I found that the MacBook screen had a flickering issue. Taking advantage of the AC+ warranty, I went to the Apple Store to get the screen replaced for free.

Today, I received the computer and found that the problem still exists. The specific steps to reproduce the issue are: ProMotion (120Hz), Dark Mode, slowly swipe through a black background with white text, and you will see the white text flickering faintly and frequently.

I asked the Genius at the Genius Bar if they could compare a machine from the store with mine. They said my M1 model is already very old, and they only have M4s now. They insisted that there is no hardware issue, suggesting it might be a software problem. Also encouraged me to trade in for a new M4.

a trick i learnt on linkedin is to put an emoji or something as the first name and your full name as the last name so that you could easily identify the bot-generated messages sent to you - "hi, {first_name_placeholder}".

the first message i received when I woke up on christmas was not "merry christmas," but a new task posted by my boss on the slack channel and asked me to finish it by today :(

I wish there were an AI that could analyze my GitHub profile, understand my skills and interests, and recommend the most suitable issue from a random repository for me to tackle.
