SomaFM

We were cleaning up some very old code, and in the process broke our app running on iOS 12 and earlier (who knew there were so many of you using old iPhones as radios!) It's fixed now, sorry about that!

Opal was a very influential label and had a huge influence in the inspiration for SomaFM

Today marks the official relaunch of Brian Eno's label, Opal Records Opal returns with 2001’s Drawn From Life and 2005’s Another Day on Earth, both of which have been unavailable for nearly twenty years You can now order both albums on LP & CD: brian-eno.lnk.to/opal-records

This should be fun!

This is kind of like that 1-star review a few years ago, when someone complained we had no talk shows or old time radio, "appears to cater to the hiphop millennial crowd. Lots of music but that's about it" 😂

A company that won't ask me for my email, phone, address - but simply ask for a single payment for the exact number as advertised and then leave me alone - will get my respect and return me to them as a customer. I am getting seriously annoyed at every single transaction trying to data scrape me.

I wanted to share this one song from today's listening party, that I'd not heard in a while and as always made me tear up when I heard it. It's about the passing of our dear sweet little cat Teddy on 1/30/2008. Love you & miss you, my sweet little boy. ambientguitarist.bandcamp.com/track/the-fo...

I've written a bunch of horror short stories and have a trilogy with Penguin Random House, the Blackwater Lights trilogy (Blackwater Lights, Witch Lights, Demon Lights). My favorite music to listen to when writing horror is Drone Zone, on @somafm.com.
