Alex Lawson: Let's remind ourselves WHY they cut $1 trillion out of Medicaid. Why 56K people are going to die every year. To give TRILLIONS in tax handouts to the richest people the world has ever known so they can buy another golden yacht to sail to Epstein's Island or whatever it is that they do.

Another blatant abuse of Social Security data to promote political messages for Donald Trump — hundreds of millions of voter contact emails promoting Trump propaganda. And all paid for by the Social Security Trust fund.

ms.nowSocial Security Administration pushes yet another Trump-centric message as elections approachFor the fourth time, the ostensibly apolitical federal agency has sent an unsolicited political email to Social Security beneficiaries.

Mike Rogers owns two yachts. His net worth is $14,600,000. And he wants to cut your hard earned Social Security benefits.

Mike Rogers mocks voter concerns about Social Security cuts: "Anytime you, you know, get the screwdriver in there and adjust it a little bit, the other team goes, 'Oh my God, you're trying to kill seniors. You don't care about people.'"

The Senators we elect this year will serve six-year terms and likely vote on Social Security’s future. Voters need to know where they stand. Will they protect the trust fund by making millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share, or will they allow for an automatic 22% cut?

Brian Poindexter is an ironworker running for Congress in OH-07. Brian will fight to protect & expand your Social Security! His opponent, Max Miller, is a corrupt politician who will abuse his seat in Congress to slash your earned benefits. Let’s help Brian replace Max Miller by voting on Nov. 3!

Social Security Round Table yesterday with Brian Poindexter @bpforcongress in OH-07. This ironworker will fight to protect & expand your Social Security! His corrupt opponent, abusive fat cat trust fund billionaire Max Miller, just doesn’t want to pay his fair share!!!

Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers (R) mocks seniors’ concerns about the future of their Social Security checks. Our earned benefits are on the line, and cuts could mean life or death for many. SOCIAL SECURITY IS NO LAUGHING MATTER.

Republicans are making it clear they will prioritize their donors’ tax cuts ahead of protecting the earned benefits of seniors and people with disabilities. Democrats and Independents are making it extremely clear that they will absolutely protect benefits. Vote accordingly.

We can protect Social Security for current and future generations if we vote out as many of Trump’s enablers as possible!

In America, the power is still with the people. Elections are everything. At least until further notice. VOTE EVERY TRUMP ENABLER OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!! This is both a rallying cry and a warning. SHOW UP!!!

The Senators we elected this year will serve six-year terms. That means the Senators we elect in November have a choice: Allow an automatic 22% cut to Social Security benefits, or finally force the rich to pay their fair share. Who do you trust to make that choice?

By 2032, America will be faced with a choice: Do we want to be a country where a man can become a trillionaire, or do we want to be a country that keeps its promise to seniors? Vote for candidates you trust with your earned Social Security benefits!

REMINDER: The Senators elected this November will LITERALLY decide the future of Social Security. In 2032, either seniors will get screwed, or millionaires and billionaires will pay their fair share into Social Security. WHO DO YOU TRUST TO MAKE THAT CHOICE?

I don’t quite feel like I did this @JanelleStelson.com press conference justice on here last week. She is going to finally rid the political world of Scott Perry! And this was one heck of an event!

Janelle Stelson is correct: we start earning Social Security from our first jobs and should have our benefits protected. Her opponent, Republican Scott Perry, wants to raise the retirement age. Stelson is EXACTLY the kind of candidate we should send to Congress by voting in November.

REMINDER: Republican John Sununu wants to privatize Social Security so Wall Street millionaires can profit off your hard-earned benefits! Don’t let him lie about his own record; vote on November 3rd!

Chris Pappas@chrispappasnh.bsky.social

John Sununu said he is willing to privatize Social Security again if he goes back to the Senate. Granite Staters deserve someone who will fight for their hard-earned benefits, and that’s exactly what I’ll do.

Scott Perry (R PA-10) wants to cut your Social Security benefits. He supports raising the retirement age to 69 and reducing annual cost-of-living adjustments. Janelle Stelson's race is pivotal for Democrats to take back the House and protect Social Security, Medicare, & Medicaid.

In 2032, within the six-year terms of U.S. Senators elected this November, Social Security is projected to face a funding shortfall. This would result in an automatic 22% benefit cut for all beneficiaries.

The vast majority of Republicans refuse to support a single penny in revenue increases, even from the ultra-wealthy, to address the shortfall. That leaves benefit cuts, including less generous COLAs, as their only option.

Over time, switching to the chained CPI, as the Republicans have proposed, would shrink yearly benefits by hundreds or thousands of dollars. Switching to the CPI-E, as Democrats have proposed, would increase benefits.

The measure used to calculate the COLA, the CPI-W, is designed to reflect the costs of working people — not retirees, who spend more of their income on healthcare, housing, and other bare necessities.

Democrats in both the House and Senate have plans to improve the COLA, by switching to a more accurate measure, the CPI-E. Meanwhile, Republicans complain that the current COLA measure is too generous.

Every year, Social Security’s benefits are automatically adjusted to account for inflation. This is an essential feature of the system, which prevents benefits from eroding over time. Next year’s COLA can’t come soon enough for many Social Security beneficiaries.

The Trump administration's war of choice with Iran and tariff chaos have driven gasoline prices up nearly 40 percent, and caused grocery costs to skyrocket. The COLA adjustment will help. But it doesn’t fully account for the costs that Social Security beneficiaries face.
