My bff is in London for a thing and I kept on asking her if she was going to get a cheeky Nando’s. She eventually actually tried it and I guess it’s really good? I thought it was just food for drunk people.

Canada accepted my application for proof of citizenship 🎉. Now it’s a waiting game for processing.

I got a Wacom Android Tablet. Can anyone recommend a note taking or journaling app that is good for hand writing. not a subscription. Paid is fine, I just hate software subscriptions. Maybe Concepts will be ok with the “Essentials” one time purchase, it seems more like a drawing app tho.

So I looked in to an ChatGPT app integration because the company I work for decided we needed one by the end of next week. Anyway, apparently all the examples they provide of making a UI just inlines all of react and react-dom in your tiny component. It seems insane? github.com/openai/opena...

This genuinely feels like the perfect use case for a web component? Like literally the perfect use case. I don't get it.

I regret updating my iPhone to version 26. It’s buggy as hell and the change is straight up bad. I can’t even turn in the reduce transparency setting because other shit breaks and renders white text on top of white background. How the fuck did this ship yet alone still be in the state.

i want to tear my hair out every time I have to go into a NestJS codebase. Sometimes it makes me like actually angry.

Is it just me or does mobile safari crash constantly? It seems to especially happen when you zoom in and scroll around. It happens a ton on Reddit.

can anyone tell me why it seems like the #webcomponents community doesn’t use Vite? i get they built their own thing before but at this point it seems silly to avoid it? Is there a good reason?

Deno should turn JSR into a shadcn-style repository that makes pulling in and adopting external code nice and convenient. Basically make it bower maybe

I would like a podcast app that remembers the position in the podcast feed of the last played item in the feed. I have a few actual play podcasts from patreon I listen to but a lot of time I skip over the "special, extra stuff" and stick to the story episodes for a bit.

It's kinda annoying to have to scroll through a list of a lot of unplayed episodes looking for the next main story episode. I don't want to mark the other episodes archived or whatever because I will eventually listen to them.

My boomer take is “socials” (as in your various social media accounts) sounds silly and I can’t make myself say it. I’ll just say the long way ty v much

What would it take to make the JS ecosystem adopt snake case as its default case. it’s just so much better.

@developit.dev I remember seeing a screenshot of how you were using signals in classes for your state management, but I can't find it anymore. I was wondering if you had a snippet or anything of an example of how you approach organizing / encapsulating your state use.

Anyone find it funny how when the UK releases the Cass review to ban trans care, we get everything ranging from New York Times push notifs to op-eds in every major US paper... But when Germany, Switzerland, and Austria release pro-trans youth care guidelines, not a single article anywhere but mine?

1. Major news in transgender care. Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines. They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the Cass Review in England. Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care. Subscribe to support our journalism.
