Paolist treated Napoleon so badly for having gone to France (after Paoli lost to France) that he became a French nationalist. He took with him a couple of other Corsicans who were similarly disillusioned. Napoleon wasn't some Corsican nationalist ploy. Paoli was a British agent during the revolution

I think every film creative should have to do a silly one after every big slop project. If your last project was a superhero movie your next thing should be at least a biopic of some guy nobody has ever heard of, or an adaption of a russian novel written on heroin, or an art film with no dialogue

At a certain point every fictional project containing a hidden supernatural world reaches a point where the question of how every third person in the world being secretly employed by the illuminati hasn't tipped anyone off.

Now there are 3 paths you can choose. You can ignore this contradiction and keep going, hoping the suspension of disbelief holds You can come up with ridiculous explanations that break down the setting even more. And you can rewrite the setting so that actually everyone always knew.

There is a thing that happens on social media concerning history which I would like to dub the wrong hattrick. This technique consists of stating a wrong thing about history and then applying it wrongly Like saying the thing that inspired jacqueries was inheritance tax so we shouldn't have any tax.

First off. We know what motivated a lot of jacqueries, some of them wrote it down. Their main issues tended to be estates overstepping their feudal rights, corvee during harvest a lack of priests to administer sacraments, or some kind of flat tax (Poll taxes or consumption taxes on staple goods).

But even if it were true. We shouldn't take political cues from people who we share precisely no interests with. Neither you nor I are worried to the point of being willing to take up arms that no one in our village can read Latin and take confession. None of us are worrying about the turnip yields

My plan is to keep posting random thoughts until I get one single banger and then never post again. This is hindered slightly by not having anything interesting to say, but worse handicaps have been overcome.
