We are not meant to sell aid, or even expect payment for doing or helping to do the right thing -- especially for underdogs fighting for their survival. We help because we could and should. [...]

That is the America I grew up in and I would like to have back, please. We were never perfect, but there was always a feeling of goodwill to (and from) the world. 🎵 "We'll fight for freedom, wherever there's trouble... G.I. I was raised on the ideals that Americans, were beloved becausewe sent our messages of freedom and liberty around the world. Sometimes it was with force, but often just with care, aid, and general goodwill. This xenophobic attitude of 'America First' (to the exclusion of others) [...]
