On #UNDay we reaffirm our commitment to a more just, peaceful & sustainable world! As a UN NGO at the United Nations, we are proud to stand alongside global partners to advance social & economic justice, peacebuilding, & environmental stewardship.

Since our founding, we have stood with those who are made poor & marginalized. As affirmed in our 24th Congregation Chapter Call, we encourage opportunities for our Congregation & partners to explore how we address the root systems that perpetuate poverty. #EconomicInjustice.

In 1884 Margaret Anna Cusack founded our Congregation to champion the vulnerable, especially women & children. In her spirit, let’s continue to uplift, mentor & champion the girls of today who will lead us into a more just & peaceful tomorrow! #InternationalDayOfTheGirl

The Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi marks the close of the #SeasonOfCreation. St. Francis showed us that every creature, stream & breath of air is part of one sacred family. Let’s carry forward his ministry by living simply, advocating for environmental justice, & walking gently on the Earth.

At our 24th Chapter, the Chapter Call & Chapter Call Implementation Proposal/Resolution were presented to the Chapter body. After a reading and discussion, a vote was taken with unanimous approval from the whole body, followed by formal approval through a delegate vote.

2 billion people lack safe drinking water. You can take action! Research whether your home water is publicly or privately owned & check if local families face shutoff risks, then join interfaith campaigns or public hearings to demand clean, affordable water for all. #LivingWater

As the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace draft their Chapter Act in Nottingham, Pope Leo XIV’s message at today’s General Audience (Sept. 16) echoes deeply: as a "community of persons," we are called to build a more just and humane world together. #GeneralChapter #GeneralAudience

Day 2 of our General Chapter brought a powerful call to reflection and peacebuilding with guest speaker John Paul Lederach. Following a heartfelt blessing led by Susan Francois, CSJP, the Chapter body engaged with Lederach’s inspiring presentation and live Q&A. #peacebuilding

Water, energy & faith are deeply connected. Caring for creation means being mindful of the hidden water used in our daily choices, including our food. This week consider swapping one meal for a locally grown, plant-based meal to help conserve life-sustaining water. #LivingWater
