We volunteered with ticket sales and wristband stuff at a music festival across more than 40 venues in the city today.

It’s a bit windy out.

Went to the Playhouse this evening.

Here's me talking about the Open Telemetry Out Run project at Grafana and Friends Manchester last night. We got lots of stats!

I tidied up the wiring a little & replaced some of it with new. The back cover is on my smaller flip dot sign for the first time in over a year and it’s all working nicely from the Pico W with RS485 module that’s sat on top of it. Once I get more parts I will tidy wiring further.

Seen in Hockley #nottingham - South Yorkshire looks incredible, I should go check it out 😀

City Transport was exhibiting the first of its new electric double deckers so we went to check them out…

@anneb.bsky.social any interest for the newsletter in a MicroPython driver I wrote for bus flip dot displays? Here’s a rough early video will get you something better & open source code repo link if you’re interested. It works on Pico with a Waveshare RS485. Watch with the sound on for full effect!

Washing machine is otherwise fine but does this sometimes. Seems to have no relation to what is in it, how much or little powder is used or the programme chosen. Happens maybe 10% of cycles.

We're pulling #Grafana's core data sources out of the monolith so each one can ship fixes and security patches independently, without waiting for a full Grafana release.

Calm before the storm at Goose Fair. Taken a couple of hours before opening time.

Running a side hustle and a Grafana stack? Bad news: There isn't an official Shopify data source for Grafana. Good news: You can still wire it up in Grafana through the Infinity plugin and GraphQL API!

A couple of pics from my plane tracking with @grafana.bsky.social and Redis talk / demo at our London meetup last night. The SDR’s radio aerial was stuck in a plant near a window and we still managed to see planes as far as the Isle of Wight whilst in the Kings Cross area.

Passed by a pub that has a meat raffle whilst out and about this weekend! 😳 Ramsgate.

Zoom in and look at the absolute concentration / focus from the one we call chicken dinner cat as he’s seen something in next door’s garden. Not my cat but he’s here a lot.
