There needs to be more research on the expanding power needs of data centres and the direct impact on consumer energy bills. There is an inevitable cost to upgrade the grid due to rising energy demand and that cost is highly likely to be passed on to consumers. Here’s why:

Nobody's shocked that Jason Miller is the one posting Bolsonaro's refusal to concede. Trumpworld isn't just watching Brazil, they're coordinating. Same playbook, same people, different country. The authoritarian network is global, and it's poison.

Which lawmaker in the US will actually say anything about this?

JUST POSTED: A Russian energy giant has secretly moved to acquire a position in a massive Alaska gas project. Its part of talks between Witkoff/Kushner & Putin. But CEO of US company resigns after learning of Russian money in the project. A wowzer of a story. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/u...

My Tiananmen square clients were arrested again and sent to Adelanto supposedly because ICE has travel documents now for China. I'm trying to decide whether I can be successful with an emergency motion. God damn it.

In 2015, I asked Republican mates, what’s all this nonsense with Trump and they reassured me Carly Fiorina would secure the nomination…🤯

SCOOP: 404 Media placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it. What did we find? It ended up at an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books. Yes. This is literally the logo outside the Amazon warehouse door. Read now:

I feel like I'm going a bit mad. What on earth about the farcical situation over the last few months would make anyone genuinely hopeful that the Strait will reopen?! I don't understand. It's like a crypto pump and dump but every week on the same shitcoin.

Japan earthquake in Kumamoto looks a biggie. 7.1 . In 2016 the region saw 300 lives lost after a series of earthquakes. From memory, TSMC has a factory there, too.

As an economic pathology, AI is *extraordinary*. AI boosters have spent a baffling and terrifying sum of money - over $1.4T, most of that in the past year - on the promise of making as many workers unemployed as possible, while lowering the wages of the meager survivors of this jobspocalypse. 3/

This is such a weird way to govern. Something, something for the people something something…

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

Think tanks report that nearly $8 billion in Venezuelan oil exports has been generated under US control since the January 2026 intervention. Helps put the US’s $300m aid to Caracas in perspective…

SCOOP: The Trump administration is paying millions to quickly cover four enormous bronze horses with extra-thick 23.75 karat gold leaf. The money for the rush job is coming from National Park Service funds. In total, I found ~$100 mil spent on new DC beautification projects.

I hope this isn’t true. There are times when it’s more important to put country before party. This is one of them. Burnham’s longstanding commitment to a fairer voting system could transform our democracy & counter the dire threat of a Reform UK government elected on a minority of the vote

theguardian.comGreens suggest they will properly contest byelection in blow to BurnhamStatement follows speculation party would not field candidate in Makerfield or barely fight seat

While BioNtech & Moderna become household names because of their Covid vaccines, those emerged from different projects: finding ways to treat the most challenging cancers. They hypothesized that we could vaccinate patients against their own tumors, & evidence is mounting that they were right! 1/n 🧪
