After exhorting us all to stockpile supplies, the government has commissioned the BBC to produce a cartoon to get children ready for the coming apocalypse: Preppa Pig.

So far this week Keir Starmer has received Ukraine's Order of Freedom, the French Légion d'honneur and a carriage clock from his cabinet. Gonna need a bigger mantlepiece!

David Hockney, 88, Donald Sutherland, 88, Robert Redford, 89, Pope Francis 88... Whenever one dies I think, bugger, that's the same age as my dad. Keep going, dad, I'm not ready for you to join them. Be a David Attenborough instead.

Firstly, grossly understating the length of World War II - it should be 313 weeks Secondly, completely neglecting the war in Ukraine (currently at 220 weeks from the full invasion, much longer if you include annexing Crimea) Thirdly WW1 at 220 weeks is missing. Fourthly 6 weeks? Ahem: 10 perhaps?

With the tube strike, it would probably have been easier to work from home this week. But I have a 60+ Oyster card, and I'm bloody well going to use it, even if I do have to get an extra bus to my nearest Overground station!

The BBC is doing a live blog on the Zelinskyy summit at The White House, and are currently doing all the European leaders arriving. Whenever they do one of this leader-by-leader arrivals blogs I'm always reminded of 'Late arrivals at the Ball' from I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.
