Maybe, because she was such a strong advocate for mental health services, he's seen her photo somewhere, and then got triggered when he saw her in the street.

Raising interest rates doesn't fix inflation caused by supply issues. It's not too much money chasing the same amount of goods. It's the same amount of money chasing too few goods. They're not the same thing and they don't have the same solution. COVID and the Ukraine war already taught us that.

So far, the drone attacks on boats, despite being blatant acts of murder, have been consequence free for the US. Murder at a distance. But if the US attacks, and the Venezuelans manage to take down one plane, or sink one ship, if there is any small counter attack with US loss of life, things change.

The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia are being deceptive here. Firstly, the median taxable income of $110k they are talking about will include those who are retired and living off their, tax free, super - that will lower the median score. 1/ www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...

smh.com.auHere’s what the average person with $3 million in super looks likeMore probably male than female, almost certainly aged over 60 and probably raking in more than $100,000 a year: here’s what the 80,000 people affected by Labor’s tax plan look like.

The LNP have used this trick to defend negative gearing before. They would claim that the average property investor only had an average taxable income of $87k. Those tax payers had taxable incomes of $87k because they used negative gearing to drop their, much higher, pre-tax incomes down to $87k.

You know, if I was Iran, I wouldn't be saying "We moved all our uranium hexaflouride, centrifuges and personnel out before the bombs hit". I'd be saying "Yep, you got it, its all gone! You can stop bombing us and tell Israel to stop attacking us and lift all the trade sanctions on us now thanks".

"Masked security forces captured an opposition leader in the coastal province of New Jersey as regime officials continue their months-long crack-down against pro-democracy elements in the embattled United States. The arrest comes as the regime issued calls for summary detentions without trial."

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like if a US exchange student in a foreign country (say, Turkey?) was imprisoned for six weeks because they wrote an op-ed in the student newspaper it would be a huge domestic story and an international incident.

Out here at Incat, it’s incredible to see Hull 096, the world’s largest battery electric machine, and constructed here in Clark. We have very smart and innovative people here - designers, engineers and technicians and this enormous project is a tribute to them and the world-leading team at Incat.

Walz: "This is how government is supposed to work. It's not supposed to be one old man in the Oval Office sending out middle of the night tweets that shock markets into free fall. It's not supposed to be a bunch of 20 somethings unelected and firing everyone. It's not supposed to be chaos."

Bettings odds data. ALP now ~72% chance of having more seats than LNP, but <2% chance of gaining a majority. ALP incumbent trailing in 4 seats (Aston, Gilmore, Paterson, Bennelong). LNP incumbent trailing in one (Cowper) The rate of change in the data has slowed. Only one or two changes per day.
