Hi all, Twitter refugee here and giving, what already seems, a gentler more left leaning Bluesky a go. UK politics and Sci-Fi books a gogo, big fan of live comedy and EdFringe. Bit of a square eyes these days but enjoying retirement and walking the 2 Labs on the mean promenades of Blackpool!

At this stage England were 5 - 0 up last time against Panama say ITV, I doubt there are more than 5 PEOPLE staying up watching this rubbish!

If the Right Wing media hate someone as much an “establishment” figure as a Knight of the Realm and former director of the CPS as PM, what are they going to do to a working class Northerner like Burnham? It’s going to be brutal from the media. As a “Bluenose” I’m sure he’s got a thick skin though!

Big, Big day for ordinary people. Fairness and safety for workers, uplift in pensions, two child cap lifted, working women protected, Youth Hubs for our young people. Today even the media can’t ignore these Labour Successes. Share far and wide.

I love BlueSky in the morning when it’s predominantly British BlueSky, things change around 4pm, then the craziness of the American voting system wakes up leaving me dumbfounded that they have a system so technical it becomes unworkable. Give me a voting slip and a pencil in a plywood booth any day!

Sadiq's statement has got the racist blue ticks on X/Twitter frothing again. He's right- we need to #GetBrexitUndone asap! #RejoinEU

European Movement UK@europeanmovement.co.uk

A recent poll by Opinium, commissioned by European Movement UK, found that 75% of Britons favour joining the Single Market to lower taxes. Rejoining would be a practical step towards economic renewal and a more confident role in the world - we must act soon to prevent any more damage to the country.

Since #bbclaurak is trending, let’s remind ourselves that ONE MONTH ago, the BBC invited Mandelson on for a soft-ball interview on her show. While HIS CLIENT , Palantir’s Louis Moseley appeared as a pundit Both, as I wrote at time, were ‘abject failures of journalism’ 1/

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

Are all the people who complained about Tim Davie’s leadership of the BBC resulted in a right wing bias and push on Reform now demanding he doesn’t resign because Trump supports this move and he’s not been right wing enough? I’m confused!

I don’t know if I’ll be playing the new release of the “Prince of Persia” game “Mountbatten Windsor of Persia” just doesn’t have the same ring to it!

All the flavours in the world to enjoy, yet somebody brings a multipack of plain Walkers crisps (22ge) and to rub a lack of salt into the wounds they are 50% less fat, might as well just throw a raw spud on the table!

Meanwhile Nigel Farage will be rolled lightly in olive oil, lightly garnished with rosemary and pink sea salt, scattered with rose petals then wrapped gently in greaseproof paper and put on a low heat for 4 hours.

Great post here highlighting some positive moves.

Climate change has been abandoned by the Tories. Reform never believed in it. But this is what Labour have done so far for our environment, in just 9 months 👏👏👏

It’s a Fylde Coast version of the Northern Lights, and I don’t mean the Blackpool Illuminations! Happy St. David’s Day to all you Welshies!

You are up to date.
