Ohh, I get it now.

Tetsuya Chiba was one of the greatest comics artists who ever lived. RIP. If you've never read Tomorrow's Joe, get a copy, it'll change your life.

With the recent news about the passing of Chiba Tetsuya (creator of Ashita no Joe), I'd highly recommend watching last year's episode of Manben that spotlighted him. It's amazing to watch a veteran of their craft at work and there are a lot of charming moments. archive.org/details/manb...

Has anyone ever made a Wild West version of Camelot where Sherrif Arthur weilds the legendary 10-mm bore rifle X-Caliber?

Resharing here for those who might have missed this announcement from earlier in October. Peow2 will be releasing the english edition of Phantom Core by Yasushi Nirasawa in the spring of 2027. Production is currently underway!

The 2020s need a new, socially concious kind of monster, like the woke lycanthrope, aka the awarewolf

For the next 13 days I'll be showing a collection of artwork pieces featured in Game 1988 Illustration Calendar. The first one is the cover by Tororoimo No.1 which is a curious rendition of Samus Aran. Removed text, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch process.

joke is so good but also unironically calls up maybe my favorite observation about Dracula from Shadow of the Vampire

Any ideas for horror/monster movies for 10 year olds

Drew two of my favorite droids! 💚🧡 #starwars

Last week above the city of Rhenen in The Netherlands. I had been wanting to photograph this church tower with these kinds of conditions for years, and I finally managed to do so. What a morning.

Courier came with this piece today to my warehouse - a large scale poster from 1981 by Miya Okazato for the Kyoshiro Yuzuki FC. This particular print came all the way from Ehime from an art sale! Really happy to own this work of Sayla & Char.

I always forget GameHoleCon is a thing in Madison, mostly because it's called "GameHoleCon".

Grasshopper and Beetles. 1951. Leonard Baskin. Linocut. Plate 23 from A Little Book of Natural History.

Everybody loves the Marx Brothers, but actually a lot of their gags were developed with the help of the Engels Brothers, who were a little drier and more focused on systemics.

Gakkō no Kaidan (1995) is SO much fun! Cute and very funny, an ideal J-horror Goosebumps as a perfect Halloween chill, that still has an atmosphere so oppressive and nightmarish you actually lose that lighthearted spookiness to just flatout terror! 😂 GREAT monsters, GREAT set design and lighting.

Just had to coach my son through a hard poop and I think even I have PTSD coming out of that.

Movie pitch: Knives Out vs Ready or Not Benoit Blanc solves the crime ("There was no murdah! She is just haiding in yoah sick childruns game!"), all the awful rich people suddenly explode-- it'd be good!

The Cartoon Network leak revealed that the team actually wrote fake interviews for the Powerpuff Girls in-house so that the writers could understand them better and honestly this is incredibly useful for learning how to characterize your characters holy shit

I wrote the wrote the phrase "Romance is Dread" in my notebook and felt incredibly clever about my idea for a TTPRG hack and then I remembered Star-Crossed already did it.

Greta Gerwig's the only person I trust with this. If it's half as religious as Barbie, it'll be incredible.

The redemption of Kylo Ren already has nothing to do with Palpatine's return...?

That dude that just uploads old anime with Sci-Fi channel bumpers and Japanese commercials inbetween episodes is doing the world a favor.

Nothing is less Star Wars than being "on model". It's like there's an uncanny valley for Star Wars drawings. You have to feel the human hand, and you have to leave a space for the human imagination to fill in some details. But maybe that's just me...?
