POPUP BRIDGE BRIGADE! Monday, 10/26 at 5 PM to support Charles Booker’s run for U.S. Senate. The forecast is gorgeous, and Election Day is 8 days away – it's the best time to join us! Seneca Park I-64 Overpass Pee Wee Reese Blvd Monday, Oct. 26 5 PM

BRIGADE TOMORROW Tuesday, 10/20 at 5 PM at the corner of Westport Road & Herr Lane – support Paula McCraney, candidate for Metro Council District 7. Election Day is just two weeks away. Every honk counts! Westport Rd & Herr Ln Tuesday, Oct. 20, 5 PM

We had an amazing time connecting with other people ready to make a change. Let’s keep this momentum going. Make a plan to vote early! No excuse is needed to vote early. And you can go to any of the locations during early voting.

This is exactly what you see from dictators. The Trump administration sent federal agents to raid a U.S. Representative's home, targeting her because she's an outspoken critic over alleged inaccuracies in paperwork filed by her parents > 25 years ago. We can't sit back and act like this is normal.

WE DID IT!!! Thanks to your energy, we wrote 1,800 postcards to support Metro Council candidates Paula McCraney and Melina Hettiaratchi! Thanks to @localslouisville for hosting. Special thanks to @spacecowboyphotography for the photos. THANK YOU! Together is how we get through this.

This Sunday, we're writing postcards to voters for two Metro Council races that matter: - Melina Hettiarachi, District 11 - Paula McCraney, District 7 Locals Pizza Hub Sunday, Oct. 4 1–4 PM A few hours on a Sunday could help decide who represents your neighbors for the next four years.

POSTCARDS FOR DEMOCRACY! Local races are often decided by a few hundred votes. A handwritten card from a neighbor can make the difference. It doesn't matter what district you live in; Metro Council makes decisions for our city, so we need them all to be great. Sun, Oct. 4, 1 pm, Locals Pizza Hub

Wednesday, it didn't matter that it was hot. We spent rush hour putting our message in front of hundreds of cars. This is what standing up looks like: impossible to ignore. Join us Sun, Oct 4 at 1 pm at Locals to write postcards in support of McCraney and Hettiaratchi's Metro Council campaigns.

Louisville deserves better than massive data centers. Wednesday is a chance to let our leaders know where we stand. STOP GREENBERG DATA CENTERS! Bridge Brigade Wed Sep 16 5–6 PM The usual spot We need leadership, not corporate favors. Wednesday, bring energy, bring signs, and make some noise!

What happens when a data center moves into your community?  A report from the University of Michigan’s Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program shows that when big tech comes to town, local communities get left holding the bag.

DEMOCRACY WILL PREVAIL is a message people want to hear right now. We're not professional activists. We're neighbors who show up. Every honk was a reminder that we're not alone in this. ✨ If you've been thinking about joining us, this is your sign.No experience required.

Metro Council voted NO to a crucial one-year pause on new data centers. Instead of taking a year to protect our community, they approved a compressed six-month pause. Six months isn’t enough time to get this right. And we can’t let them waste a single day.

3. Mandate facilities to continuously recycle their water instead of draining millions of gallons from our local water supply. 4. Ensure tech companies are legally and financially responsible for cleaning up their sites, so taxpayers aren't left with toxic industrial waste or empty concrete shells.

1. Large Residential Buffers: Protect neighborhood families and property values from the constant, industrial hum of massive cooling fans. 2. Utility Transparency: Provide clear public data on how new data centers will impact our local energy capacity and monthly utility bills.

Voting for Democrats in November is the only way to stop the Republican assault on older Americans and hold the GOP accountable. A healthy democracy must protect the economic security of its seniors. But reckless Republican policies are weakening programs older Americans worked decades to earn.

ICE isn't something that just happens in other cities. It's happening in our city, to our neighbors. On 7/22/26, local nursing studen Sarafinah Bukirwa, who has sickle cell anemia, was detained by ICE at the Louisville airport. Her detention came just one day after she was hospitalized.

She has been kept for nearly a week without her vital, prescribed medications. During a phone call from the detention center on July 28, Sarafinah told her brother that her heart was “racing out of her chest,” her urine was “dark like blood,” and her vomit looked “like pink meat.”

Mayor Greenberg must not trust Louisvillians. Shameka Parrish-Wright does. When it comes to the Flock surveillance cameras, Greenberg thinks you shouldn't know where they are. Meanwhile, Shameka demanded transparency. She wants camera locations published online like they do in Lexington, KY.

This is another example of Greenberg's lack of transparency. He won't even meet with No Data Center 502 about the Campground Road Hyperscale Data Center (and other data centers on the way) that will suck up as much power in one month as 400K homes, causing skyrocketing utility bills and pollution.

Public hearings on the updated proposed amendments will be held on the following dates: * Wednesday, August 5 at 5 p.m. at U of L Shelby Campus (450 N. Whittington Parkway) * Thursday, August 6 at 5 p.m. online. * Monday, August 10 at 5 p.m. at the African American Heritage Center

Greenberg says he supports planning code amendments, but he hasn’t publicly commented on the strength of the initial proposed amendments or the newly proposed amendments, which still don’t go far enough (e.g. data centers up to 500,000 square feet are still allowed).

Veteran Arturo Quiñonez Solis was deported yesterday. He had open heart surgery in June, but ICE denied him his medications and put him on a plane. Join the League of Women Voters today for a vigil at 5 pm at Big Four Bridge for Lorenzo Araujo and Johan Guerrero, who were killed by ICE last week.

FRIDAY! Bridge Brigade 5-6 pm Message: JUSTICE FOR ICE VICTIMS Seneca Park I-64 Overpass This is for every person who has lost their life in detention, at the border, or at the hands of ICE and an administration that has made cruelty its policy. Their lives mattered. We will not look away.
