One thing I don't get is people saying Lanterns is embarrassed to do GL stuff. It's sparing and grounded but there's not bathos to undercut any of its actual use in a way I'd think meant embarrassment

Where's the professional pride gone?

Lanterns doing such a good job with the Hal/John dynamic it has made me kinda bummed we won't get 5 more seasons where they're actually partners who trust each other. Considering idgaf about Hal before great work

Gasp!

The best part of being on a train is when you go through a level crossing and see all the cars waiting for you to pass through

Genuinely pleased to hear the commentary including former players saying going off the ground is the right thing to do. Last time I watched a game on TV was awhile ago and it was much more 'tough it out' #AFLCrowsFreo

Bank transfer for rent went out Wednesday. Same as last fortnight. Automated email saying I'm behind in rent arrived today. Can't even hell at a bank until Tuesday.

Whatever Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie are to each other I hope the affection we see in their pr stuff is real and lasting. It feels like something they deserve for all the joy their performances have brought people.

Remember Heated Rivalry is gonna be next year now.

Worth noting the attempt to pull the 'do you denounce radical islam' line on the guy who just got shot saving lives

Count me among the HEATED RIVALRY flock. Women are devouring the HBO hit in phenomenal numbers but let's not overlook the gift that the gay hockey romance represents to queer audiences. Some words of gratitude: www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-review...

Popcorn? Heated. Rivalry? Heated. Me? Seated

Okay but whatever is happening to Sam Reid with Lestat is happening to Connor Storrie with Ilya. No further comparison can be made

The level of skill and care I can see on screen in heated rivalry shows me everyone was putting everything into it. Like do I know what a grip does? No. But I know the ones working on Heated Rivalry are the best in the biz because look at what the set and costuming and *lighting* is like

Canonically she goes home with her boyfriend and I think we can all agree that she did in the show too

People really be confusing their own experiences for universal ones with zero introspection at all

I can't believe Jacob made me shocked and surprised by an episode ending I predicted after episode 2. That's television #HeatedRivalry

Because people denigrate the skill of a good sex scene we've been getting so many by the numbers unnecessary sex scenes which is part of why people keep saying things don't need them, and also why so many people can't see how very necessary Heated Rivalry's sex scenes are

I am so happy with episode 3. Jacob Tierney is willing to do something that is not popular (shift focus) in order to tell the story right. I also think the changes make the Scott/Kip story stronger overall #HeatedRivalry

Because heated rivalry has me back on my bs, I'm reading Kate Meader's rebel bride (library cane through!) Bad ex using AI to rewrite vows is 👨‍🍳🤌💋

Knowing the sport would be a detriment to my ability to enjoy hockey as a sports romance. This is also why a US football is fine but Hollywood isn't

No thanks to Barnaby Joyce

Sure, England were humiliated by the First Test loss...but that's not enough is it? We want them to suffer, as well. 😄 #Ashes #Cricket

Trust England to let a wobbly aussie team get the job done. Seriously Australia needs to be bringing through the next generation because Khawaja is surely out with his back for Brisbane. Let me not downplay the excellence of Starc, but we can't expect that every time #Ashes

I am still baffled as to why they made the debutant face the opening strike in the first innings. No matter how much the Khawaja stuff put them on the spot that was not a smart move. #Ashes

Georgia gubernatorial primaries are in May next year. My prediction is that Marjorie Taylor Greene will be running as a Republican candidate for governor on that day

Yeah that's going straight into the vocab
