Augie (Shadow 🌈)

🐿️ I was off leash in our driveway today + a squizzer ran across my path + proceeded to scamper around in front of me! Mom stayed calm, said “Augie, stay” + trusted me to be a good boy. Guess what? I was! I was a VERY good boy! I stayed put. I get a pup cup for that, right? 🐿️

Mom took this photo early yesterday morning out the window of a moving car (Dad was driving) on our way to breakfast. She said she liked the subtly of the fall colors in the morning light. I said I prefer the not-so-subtle shades of yellow in my favorite egg-n-cheese order.

This morning, I found my #MondayMotivation out the car window when Mom + I did a very early coffee run. I enjoyed the cold air and sunshine on my face and she enjoyed her coffee. Win-win!

M+D did something called voting today. I don’t know what that is, but they said it was very impawtent.

Doin’ a regal.

Mom + I are going to do hikings. She says she’s going to keep a close eye on me so she can keep track of me in the leaves.

I’ve had a very busy day so I’m just gonna take a little sun snoozle on my pillow to rest up for tonight’s festivities at Trunk or Treat.

I got sink baffed! Dad and I may have had a bit too much fun playing outside.

Mom just told me tonight is Trunk or Treat 👻 🎃 and we’re going! 🎉 I’m gonna have to wear a silly costume 🕷️🕸️ but it means I’ll be getting lots of treats 🦴🍬 so it’s worth it. 😋🐾 Our theme is a twist on an oldie but goodie children’s book. 📚 Stay tuned…

We went to one of our favorite cafes for breakfast and got our usual table by the door so I could greet people. I got extra tastes bc M+D say making people smile is impawtent work these days.

Mom didn’t make her steps today so she’s outside walking circles around our driveway. I’m keeping an eye on her because clearly she’s nuts. When I don’t make my steps, we play fetch until I do. All she had to do was ask and I would’ve played fetch with her.

What do you mean what did I get into? Dad took me out to play.

We’re at the swishy swashy place. I like it when the man with the hose pretends to spray me!

I did #WontLookWednesday with Mom before she left for NYC. Actually, it was because she told me she was going to NYC that I refused to look so it worked out ok, I guess, although I’m still not happy about it.

Dad + I went to see his godson’s football game. We had fun. There were good sniffs, I did all my steps for the day, and I like hanging out with everyone + meeting other doggos. Now it’s time for a nap!

Mom’s in NYC. I laid down next to her suitcase while she packed but there wasn’t room for me. Her board dinner is tonight + the mtg is tomorrow. When she comes home she’ll need snuggles. Tollers aren’t supposed to be very affectionate but I never got that memo+am a good snuggler.

Mom’s coming back and she’s carrying a Dunkin’ bag with her coffee. That usually means I’m gonna get some tastes of an egg-n-cheese wrap! Anticipation…🎶

For the record, I did do #TongueOutTuesday today, but…I was with Dad when I did them and we all know what that means: no photos! 🙄😛😐

Mom says they’ll probably be giving out treats on Halloween, but I’m not so sure I want to meet these neighbors.

Ya know how Mom sometimes takes pictures of things that catch her eye? Well, today it was this “oak leaf bouquet” which made her stop, say “Augie, wait,” (which I did! 👍🐾) and take a picture. Of all the pretty fall leaves, she snaps a pic of the dead brown ones. 🙄

I decided today was SwishyTailSunday.

Mom says this photo is misleading. We climbed a lot of hills today. You don’t have to take my word for it bc she has the sore muscles to prove it. I’m going to be on snuggle duty tonight to help her feel better.

On our way home…

Today has gotten a whole lot better! We went for walkies all over town then stopped at a yummy sandwich shop where I got some beef-n-cheese, but the best part is that we found a bark park and I got to do playz with 4 other doggos. It was fuuuuun!

It’s a dreary day so we’re driving to Wallingford, CT to an antique lighting store to pick up two lamps the owner repaired for M+D. Exciting, right? Yeah, not so much. But, there may be unexpected adventures and treats so I’m not giving up hope.

Oh, hi Dad. I, um, thought maybe you’d want me to drive?

Mom’s been crazy busy with work. She says it’ll get better after next week’s board meeting, whatever that is. I haven’t seen her as much so when she went for coffee really early this morning, I went with her instead of sleeping in. It was so early, I needed a coffee, too!

I checked when we got home and hubro is definitely not in his room. Is he coming back sometime soon? I miss him already.

Today is just…yuck. Hubro did 2 EMT shifts this weekend + he’s already heading back to school. At least I got a bonus visit. It’s pouring so we drove north for lunch + he left from there to save drive time. I’m sad. This is not a Funday. *sighs*
