In my head I live in a science fiction world where everyone is grown up and decent. As you say it's depressing to be reminded countless times a day how wrong I am 😬 I'm embarrassed by my species *sighs*

The Trump regime is deliberately deploying ICE agents at immigration hearings so they can more easily detain migrants. Armed, masked men abducting people from courthouses —and arresting those who ask why — is the stuff fascism is made of.

Hello, I’m a disruptor, very smart, here to create efficiency. I’m just going to drill holes in the bottom of this boat to see which parts of the hull are mission-critical.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

This is appalling. Whether or not something is "settled science" doesn't depend on whether *laymen* are skeptical. This is settled science. All studies disprove the initial faked study that started the controversy.

According to a former editor of JAMA, we need more studies on whether or not vaccines cause autism. What mistakes does he make? 🧵

For years I was inoculated from ads with streaming subscriptions and YouTube Premium, but they’ve bled back through on Amazon Prime. I feel like I’m having an alien experience, I didn’t realise how strange advertisements were. Do these work? They feel like licking a battery

This is such a great point because here we have the world’s richest man and the president of the United States and they’re both idiots, and there’s a cognitive dissonance where one can argue “they can’t be idiots, look what they’ve accomplished.” But yet still they are idiots

They need him to be a genius because they cannot handle what it means for them to be tricked by a fool.

A common trap for PMs is when you keep making slight adjustments to your product roadmap to address roadblocks (e.g. removing feature to hit deadline, changing another due to tech feasibility, etc) but don’t realize that your product has strayed so much from the original vision to be unrecognizable.

Vaccines DO NOT cause autism. But what the autistic people in your life hear when you spread that widely debunked misinformation is that you would prefer to have a child die a painful death from eradicated communicable disease than to be like them. That's nasty work. Hope this helps!

It's a thin line between "fully automated luxury space communism" and "working to the bone to buy peanuts at the global company store"

You are up to date.
