Access to/democratisation of tech and the way people make stuff. Hugely powerful open source software, technologies like 3D printers becoming reasonably affordable for everyone More than ever I think people are empowered to make awesome things in a way that wasn't always possible before

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

(I think there is sadly a big caveat of many companies trying to walk this back, lock down software and hardware ecosystems and force subscription models and so forth... but overall I think there has been huge leaps)

I really liked edgerunners S2 artistically, and the general concept of the story but the characters fell a bit flat for me We really didn't get enough time with a lot of the cast's backstory to understand their motivations or give what happened enough emotional weight imo

Thought I got a gigantic blob of death on the new 3D printer and was dreading the cleanup but it seems like it was just that the waste chute got clogged up and nothing was necessary I needed the easy win today tbh...

Why am I cursed with the worse bags under my eyes. It happened again today I got pulled aside by someone who was concerned I wasn't getting sleep...

I didn't have any hopes for the free speaker that came with my TV but it honestly sounds great (Also quite a looker tbh)

Need some good comm ideas I'm struggling to settle on one but I wanna throw some money at artists.

Only now it just occurred to me the intersection of life long fat bird obsession and feline tendencies

Settlement done, move mostly completed Your girl is a homeowner (but bigger this time)!

Radio the Universe will release soon please I'm manifesting it I want more of this game

For all my audiophile nonsense I think my PC speaker setup would make them cry S/PDIF toslink -> DAC -> headphone amp -> RCA out -> RCA-3.5mm adapter -> sonos play:5 3.5mm line in.

I *really* like the damn thing sue me I just wish it didn't have the connectivity options of a potato

(for additional insult to injury it's also just straight up on the floor under my desk like a subwoofer)

I feel like half the stuff I'm seeing about the steam frame is "but the screens aren't as good as <headset that costs literally twice as much>"

I mean I suppose only a human would be stupid enough to paste the mystery bash script into their terminal...

It's kind of hard not to resent that some people seem to just have an army of others ready to reassure them and make them feel better when they stumble or are struggling with their own self-worth...

I did it I sold my soul and bought one of those Ikea donut lamps. It's only a matter of time until the replica eames chair I'm done for.

Is anyone in my feed a home theatre/speaker whiz? looking at stuff for home and tossing up between going all in on speakers with an AVR and stuff or just keeping it simple with a nice soundbar, something like the sonos ecosystem

I'm not after anything crazy just decent. I'd also like to use it for music from a turntable etc. and a lot of soundbar options seem poorly regarded for this I'm thinking the simplest for music is just some nice active bookshelf speakers. Don't even know where to start with a sub
