Gonna be shutting down the shop on Monday at midnight. You have until then to place orders. On a related note, after these printings sell out, I will not be reprinting these editions. So, if ya want one, you’ll have to snag it soon. kumerish.bigcartel.com

Hi y'all, Recently we found out that my brother has a heart condition and will require extensive care. To cover some of the costs I'm running fundraiser by taking up commissions. Most tiers are affordable so people get some good art while helping us out. Plus a $1000 for those who can spare more.💜💜

Looking at ways to raise the cold hard cash needed to print this comic. I don't have anything against kickstarter, but I'd rather just rely on preorders to help fund the printing. Would you preorder this comic? It'd be about 68 pages, risograph printed, probably around $15.

All 50 pages of my new comic Shapes in the Kudzu are up on my patreon. It's about animals, driving, and the south. I've got a bunch of different support tiers, but however much you want to give goes directly into the comic making jar. Read it here: www.patreon.com/c/bensears/p...

Today I received a book on loan from the Cleveland Public Library (hell yeah) and what I expected was the McNALLY EDITIONS reprint of the 1919 classic EX-WIFE by Ursula Parrott. What I got was the... 1989 reprint.

One thing I really did not expect about being a book publisher is the strange spam email I get because of specific books. Case in point? SOUVENIR by @saraluna.bsky.social — a gorgeous book about finding a way forward when all you want is to live in the past. www.fieldmouse.press/shop/p/souve...

I now regularly get emails with offers of product catalogues, production samples, and other related materials for my successful "souvenir business." The success is the beautiful and important book, but thank you random guy from Indonesia/China/Vietnam, it means a lot that you reached out to chat.

I've gotten multiple books this year where "final interiors will be full color" is printed somewhere on the cover or in the guts, and frankly, it just makes me want to throw the thing away. It's not a romantasy novel. I need to be able to evaluate the art, which includes, importantly, the color.

Wrapping up Women in Translation Month with SWELL by Son Bo-Mi was a real pleasure. Translated by Janet Hong and published by @twolinespress.com. I didn't love everything in the collection, but the paired stories "Blanket" and "Blimp", as well as "The Love of a Scientist" were absolutely wonderful.

C'mon lovelies, let's move that needle! I know we're all strapped for THE MONIES (I'm feeling it just as much) but comics-focused mags are frighteningly rare these days, and it would be a shame to lose this one too. Please donate if you can spare, please repost too? #comicsky #comics #signalboost

I try not to get hyperbolic on here, but truly, if we can't get close to our funding goal for @solrad.bsky.social, the magazine will not be able to exist in its current format in 2026. crowdfundr.com/support_solrad

Excited to see a new novel from Yūko Tsushima coming early next year, translated by Dennis Washburn. Her final novel, it begins in 1938 and covers over 70 years, drawing on details of her own life.
