If the pastor running for senate in fucking Kansas understands the assignment, Turek and the rest of them have no excuse
Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”
Obama do a massive rally in Tallahassee, Orlando and Miami challenge
Today, I’m honored to share that President Obama is supporting our campaign for the U.S. Senate. President @barackobama.bsky.social & I both started as organizers in our communities, because we immediately understood that real changes come from regular folks joining the fight. #AngieForFlorida

I’m grateful to President @barackobama.bsky.social for his support. I hear it in every county I visit: costs keep going up, families are worried about their healthcare and their hospitals, and folks feel like Washington stopped listening a long time ago. We're going to change that on November 3rd.
My take here is that he is effective because he had a nonpolitician background where his job was to distill complex and intangible problems so average person could digest them. He effectively talks like a documentary narrator, not a politician/dr/lawyer/whatever other path normally leads to congress
Figuring out why Ossoff is so effective is an interesting task. I think he's mastering a kind of stern dignity that is uniquely compelling in contrast to the clownish cruelty of the other side. I think the other person who's kind of hit on the same thing is AOC, though in a different register

I think this is ultimately correct. AES‘s loss would be used as a cudgel against progressive candidates going forward, ESPECIALLY against an AOC 2028 campaign
And this is why we’re hearing so much about Hasan Piker - a lot of centrist Dems would rather lose the seat and lose the Senate than see El-Sayed win.
Where the hell is party leadership closing ranks and stopping these people from trying to sink our candidate?
he's an outlier in the party but Josh Gottheimer quite obviously wants Abdul El-Sayed to lose. you don't go on Fox News and campaign for Mike Rogers on accident www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4TF...
We need dems who can talk with this level of moral clarity. If James Talarico can speak like this, there is no excuse for the rest of us
A 5-year-old Texan just spent the first day of school in an ICE detention center. ICE kidnapped Liam Tadeo on his way to a soccer game with his dad. Liam should be in kindergarten. Instead, our government has thrown him in a prison camp hundreds of miles from home.
“But Ron Davis’ recent sour-grapes email to his supporters about the Stranger—in which he even seems to take issue with the fact that they make endorsements— says more about him than about the paper“ Yes! Exactly! People on here (and probably Davis himself!) felt entitled to that endorsement.

Man that MT number hurts
FiftyPlusOne is very excited to release our polling averages for Senate and governor elections today! There's a new page on the website just for general election averages, and a blog post with some takeaways on the current state of the race here: blog.fiftyplusone.news/p/general-el...
I feel like this is mostly correct, though my gut says MISen is Lean D, OHSen is a toss up, and FLSen is likely R solely because my mind cannot comprehend MSSen being more competitive than Florida.
Screw it: I don’t care #MISen: Toss up #IASen: Lean R #TXSen: Toss Up #MESen: Lean D #NCSen: Likely D #OHSen: Lean R #FLSen: Safe R #MSSen: Likely R #AKSen: Toss Up #MNSen: Safe D #GASen: Likely D

A caucus of violent, drunk ex-husbands controls three branches of government and both chambers of Congress.
Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"
This literally sounds like I’m in court and the respondent in one of my client’s protection order cases is trying to defend himself

An AOC-Warnock ticket is going to absolutely MELT the GOP mind.
Good Time as Any to Break Out the Presidential Candidate AOC’s Running Mate Tier-List: A: Warnock* B+: St Talarico the Martyr**, Jeff Jackson*** B: Ossoff*, Kelly^ C+: Wes Moore, Beshear C: Mayor Pete, Gallego D-: Newsom, Don Lemon F: Slotkin, Whitmer, Shapiro ???: Hunter Biden ?!?: Joe Biden

The Stranger has been captured by the democratic party establishment, so to know who to vote for we have to… *checks notes* listen to the democratic party???
***SEATTLE*** The Stranger has been purchased by an establishment Democrat. Its endorsements no longer reflect a hopeful, progressive vision. Consider alternatives like The Urbanist, The Working Families Party, the Seattle Transit Riders Union, & your local Democratic Party organization.
So the government can just revoke your status without an ounce of evidence???
The Supreme Court's fifth and final decision is Blanche v. Lau, another 6–3 split. Per Thomas, the government does NOT require clear and convincing evidence that a green card holder committed a crime before divesting them of their lawful status at the border. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

My answer to this is that because, until fairly recently, we had a fairly shared information environment. Now we all have our own curated feeds that feed us information that may reinforce our own narratives. “Vibes” imo is just shorthand for the algorithm.
Why did the vibes suddenly turn bad in 2021, and not 2017, 2009, 1979? Why did “vibes” not seem to even matter in economic sentiment until 2021? There’s no indication prior to recent years that this was even a factor. And then suddenly it was!
