We've changed our banner from the Climate stripes to reflect the beauty of the area we live in. Of course, the climate still matters - that is why the Lib Dem led council declared a climate emergency and work so hard to reflect that in all that they do. But we can still enjoy the beauty of the area

A big step forward and a testament to all the carers who’ve campaigned against this injustice. But is the government really saying: if carers get a pay rise or work more hours, it will take back every penny of their extra income? A 100% tax rate? That can’t be right.

Mr Tice aspires to be in government? Yet he thinks it OK to brush aside the manhandling , hair pulling and hitting with a crutch of a heckler at the Reform conference - and also OK to dismiss an action that has, by all appearances, caused risk to life and arrest. In government - setting our laws??

A few suggestions of things he could be honest (i.e. candid) about... - that climate change IS a crisis requiring significant action now - the mechanisms by which the rich get richer at the expense of everyone else - that immigrants are NOT the cause, even slightly, of the country's problems.

We have to treat mental health with the same seriousness we treat physical health. And that starts with funding. While mental health services receive such meagre funding, vulnerable people and children will be left on waiting lists. We need fairer funding to get this right.

Reforms vetting procedure and retention rate of councillors is poor! Reform has by far the highest amount of councillors leaving the party for various reasons of defections, resignations and suspensions since LE2026. The Lib Dems have by far the lowest amount of Councillors leaving of any party.

The Lib Dems are the most successful of the major U.K. wide parties in terms of seats defended since LE2026 with 79% success in seat defence rates. Greens come 2nd (68%) Reform the least successful party at defending seats (40%) Labour (43%) and the Conservatives (41%) don’t fare much better.

UK inflation, driven by a 4-year high in gas prices. The Conservatives' response? More gas, scrap renewables. That puts them alongside Trump and Iran as the only nations with no climate targets. Meanwhile gas prices, heatwaves, wildfires and food shortages crush people and the economy.

Tax isn’t a burden — it’s the membership fee for society. Decide the society you want → calculate the cost → set the tax. Starting with “tax must be lower” is just bad logic. Unless your aim is to further enrich the well off? Which political parties most bang the drum about reducing taxes??
