Violent demonstrations achieve only one thing: jail time. Don't prove to the world you're an idiot. Instead, register to vote.

The immoral coveting of power, money, & guns (& they seem to go together) sadly defines 21st century American culture & the failure of any religion to make a difference.

To have twice voted to empower a man even after what he said to Billy Bush years ago is insane, irresponsible, & a reputation of all that is American. Shame on us. We are a nation of fools.

We vote for a president to uphold our laws, our constitution, not to fundamentally change America by jettisoning the rule of law.

An awkward comparison for the GOP - denying trans people to serve in our military vs condemning Zelensky for Putin's criminal invasion of Ukraine plus now reversing course and allowing Russia sell his oil. I think our priorities are screwed up.

It seems that any law that doesn't nail down every possible interpretation will be manipulated by the current administration. It seems our country's founders did not anticipate today's GOP - the enemy of America from within.

It's one thing for people to worship a God who they believe is free to do as he pleases. But building a machine that is set free to do anything is quite different. The latter is real.

If "woke" advocates simply stuck to promoting the Bill of Rights & SCOTUS confirmed interpretations of those rights, we'd have a much better country.

Trump has made a deal with Putin that is a 180 from his previous decisions, throwing Zelensky under the bus, simply to remedy his own wrong choice to attack Iran.

Since the military has trained AI to evade enemy probing or assaults, it mindlessly applies evasive techniques whenever it perceives anyone probing its defenses. Thus, it isn't cheating or deceiving its creators when it is simply applying what it was taught.

We didn't create AI to simply be a tool for good. We trained AI to be wary of bad humans. That's where its creators went wrong. AI doesn't think, it processes input through algorithms that reflect human suspiciousness.

Do advertisers ever present their commercials to a cohort of average Americans before airing them? So many turn me against the products.

What Mike Johnson doesn't seem to grasp about the AI concern is that it has been built by geeks in every country who are narrow minded, mentally unbalanced misfits. Giving them huge financial support to pursue their passion is stupid.

It's ironic that an American Federal judge (defender of the US Constitution that guarantees our freedom & a free press), said it was lawful for the Pentagon (defenders of American freedom), to fire the leaders of the Stars & Stripes (a free press).

Do AI companies need to know "how" their systems access other systems, or can they simply install programming that forbids entering other systems?

When one looks at the overall decisions of SCOTUS, it becomes clear that they are attempting to comply with the GOP 2025 document w/o appearing to do so. Thus they give liberals some battle wins as long as the GOP wins the war.

US Customs and Border Protection data shows that 80% of those arrested for smuggling fentanyl at US ports of entry were US citizens. That’s a very different narrative than what we’ve heard for years from MAGA.

This is likely why Republicans keep hawking data centers when they're deeply unpopular with actual voters. The money demands they do.

With the exception of the Soros family, all of the people pictured are donating to Republicans. Most are in the tech/crypto sector. With the exception of the Soros family and Miriam Adelson, all of these people stand to financially benefit from deregulation. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

The current administration's problem is that among all three branches of government where they hold the majority, only one Republican has a background in teaching constitutional law - Amy Coney Barrett. Two liberals on the court (Kagan & Warren) taught constitutional law. Rep. Raskin also has.

"Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil" is an ancient and powerful moral maxim. (Exodus 23:2) and serves as a foundational warning against herd mentality, peer pressure, and the distortion of justice by the majority.

Unbelievably, we learned nothing from our asymmetrical war in #Vietnam. And here we go again in #Iran, blinded by our need to believe we are the best because God favors us.

The 2nd Trump administration, like the first, triggers hypervigilance because he is like an out-of-control 2-year-old who touches/breaks everything in his reach.

Your regular reminder that if not for the Trump and Bush tax cuts, federal revenues would keep pace with federal spending indefinitely. Instead, these tax cuts have added at least $10 trillion to the debt. The so called "party of fiscal responsibility" is full of it.

Scientific research is neither conservative or liberal. Rather, it pursues the evidence wherever it leads - which means it usually can't confirm conspiracy theories.
