Discovered a bug in the #Behringer X-Air-Edit application today. The knobs & meters in both the stereo & dual mono De-esser FX units are wonky& seem to cross streams. I'm attempting to report to Behringer, but so far only was able to open a ticket via their new Uli #AI support. Waiting for a human.

Recently found a huge cluster of what I think is hen-of-the-woods #mushrooms. Might’ve harvested it too if it weren’t located right next to a dirty parking lot. Chapstick included in the photo for size reference.

Perhaps voting should have a pre-requisite requirement of passing a fundamental test that includes simple math, philosophy, and mental health questions. Don’t pass? Vote doesn’t count. Could also include some tests like “is this AI?” or “does this seem like clickbait?” Democracy needs a lower limit.

Oh, you wanna rename states? Why focus on just New Mexico? Why not Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, all the states w/ Native American names, etc.? Is #AI god? Sure! AI is god in the same way that some computers in data centers owed by powerful corporations are god. Could you unplug them & stop the god? Yep! But these weak gods are kept online, raping communities of their power & water, not because of omnipotence but for profit & control.

Is #AI god? Sure! AI is god in the same way that nuclear weapons are god. We’ve been clever enough to harnesses fundamental powers of the universe to make weapons that could destroy us all many times over. Amazing! Well done, idiots, you built an overlord you no longer can control, fight, or resist.

Is #AI god? Sure! AI is god in the same way that using all of our human knowledge and resources to erect a golden calf statue is a god. It sure looks nice and is awful shiny, but it used a lot of resources we could have used elsewhere. Ultimately it was made by us, which basically means it not god.

The #AI industry has generated unnecessary jargon for things that already have terms e.g. spend, compute, agentic. We have words for these things. Save your creativity for actually original things. These words are new & shiny like the stainless steel panel on a CyberTruck, which is not a compliment.

Due to AI, I have disabled external pull requests on all my repos. Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted. (It’s been 15 years for me) I will still maintain projects and handle issues.

Modern life is surrounded with sudden on/off audio experiences. Short videos, ads, TV, sporting event stingers all cut into and out of audio clips of music and speech. It’s very jarring and I believe may be creating stressful effects that we are not accounting for. Bring back smooth audio fades!
