Most of you on here don't know I write pop punk monster truck songs for my kids. Then, this year, somehow, a bunch of parents found out and, wow, it's been a crazy year for these songs. If you're curious what I did with these songs, I'll post a little thread here.

It turned out, treating music streaming services like YouTubers treat YouTube as far as content has been really successful for these songs. There's anticipation, there's excited for each release. There's not a single song that gets left behind like when you release EPs or albums.

Anyways, it's been crazy to see the demand for the songs. We have so much planned for 2025 including a bunch of more songs to kick off 2025, new merge, and ... maybe... some live shows. Plan on hopping on a Pop Punk bill at a local venue disguised as a real band ... lulz

It started by just putting songs on Spotify so my wife could play the songs for our kids while she was driving. Then, she posted about the songs in some mom's & monster trucks Facebook group.

People started to listen, but there were only about 3 songs at that time. I got a bunch of requests, so I started writing and releasing. On average, I released 1 song every 3-4 weeks. Always singles, never albums.

If you only need to calculate date once, Remix's clientLoaders are a great place to compute renderable values so that they aren't recomputed every React render ... AND you don't need to cache/memoize them, Remix's revalidation does that for you, for free

Person who loves coding: "Here's my thing I've labored over to make awesome. It's really cool" Hacker news: "Why isn't there a screenshot in the README, it's terrible"

You are up to date.
