Giving a shot to @kalapaint.bsky.social, really juicy brush engine! Haven't properly painted in a while, feels nice. I need to work out a sketching brush I like next...! I tried to recreate my favourite (Ron Chan's side pencil) but fell short earlier.

Just so that it’s known, I would never reach to a client on discord! I pretty much only open it to check channels and chat with friends, so I would rather not respond to anything work-related, either. VGen DMs or e-mail (sent from the address listed in my bio) are the only methods I use. 🌹

⚠ PSA to artists and clients on #VGen about a Discord scam going around!! ⚠ a scammer is scraping profiles (both artists and clients) to make fake discord accounts impersonating them, then reaching out to people they've worked with in the past who have their discord info publicly visible

the way adobe asks you to pay additional cancellation fees with your subscription ending in two weeks *and* being fully paid off surely can't be legal, right? (finally ripping off this well overdue, stinky bandaid btw)

iga | scherville
@scherville.com

sure, you can easily settle it through the chat but that's not the point, you shouldn't have to ask in the first place telling them to cancel also resulted in the sub being stopped immediately, so I had to go in there again to demand a refund for the unused time

the highlight of the conversation was the agent proposing to downgrade my photoshop plan to... acrobat? I didn't have it in me to respond with a joke because it's not like I was talking with John Adobe, customer service reps are simply following their templates, but that's a crazy suggestion lmao

HELP! It's the first time something like this has happened to me but I had to make a post. This person is impersonating me and is contacting my clients from Vgen, asking them if they have other work for commission. I am absolutely NOT this person, I won't ever contact you directly on discord!

(done in Kala Paint, once again) 🖤 also, no witty titles because Townfall destroyed me, in terms of pure psychological damage it’s probably the hardest hitting game of the series and it hasn’t been appreciated enough, I feel!

I got VGen verified yesterday, by the way! A massive thank you to all the clients who helped me make this happen ♥️ you’re the beeeest

Shimmering Iris 🌱✨ a new piece in my ongoing series of paintings called ‘A Starry Place’ where I explore spaces meaningful and nostalgic to me.

I've been testing Kala for the past few days and I'm impressed beyond words by how even in its early stages it already feels and runs better than photoshop, it's absolutely brilliant for achieving a painterly finish and everything can be customised 🥹 it really is that good

Kala Paint is out! I'm @olawson.bsky.social , professional artist for 15 years, then game dev, now wrote the painting software I wish I'd been using all this time. GPU-run creamy brushes, no subscription, no gen AI crap, hand-coded with ideas from artists in our Discord, and more added weekly!

I'm still running the trial, but I will be grabbing my license as soon as it ends because I'm in love... and hey, my commissions are open if anyone would wish to support me in this financial endeavour, wink wink

Oh hi. It's my birthday 🙂 I have to say that diving into acrylic painting and book illustration over these last few years has been incredibly rewarding, and I enjoy learning more, painting more, and getting older really is quite great!

Today is my birthday! 🎉 as ritual I'll share my artworks here and I'd really appreciate shares to help me reach more people 💗 This year I have many things I'd like to achieve, I want to paint more book covers and illustrations, and maybe one day getting the chance to paint for Magic the Gathering 🫶🏻
