An unlicensed supercut film, edited from nearly 400 (389) horror movies, combined into a kaleidoscopic edit to tell a new, but familiar story. We have the trailer and poster of Family Go to the Bad House for you. #ExperimentalHorror #TrailerAlert #FreeToPlay #HorrorSky
Parts of Bloody Tennis are quite good. Great film work. Interesting and engaging tennis matches. And most importantly some really well done gore. The big problem is that we never get to any sort of resolution. We’re mostly left with some really gross tennis rackets and a handful of leeches.
Deathgasm II: Goremageddon is much lighter on the charm than Deathgasm, but the aim this time seems to be more gore and meaner humor, and in those ways, it delivers. Gorehounds, metalheads, and those who enjoyed Deathgasm will want to give this sequel a try. #HailSatin #HorrorSky #HorrorFamily
Everything about this film is a horror fan’s dream! Cregger brings a broader and more accessible version of horror to the screen. And his improv talents bring a raucous and joyous element that’s been missing from years of trauma-based horror. #HorrorSky #HorrorFamily #ResidentEvil
Death Has No Master boasts impressive set design, direction, performances, and Luis Armando Arteaga’s superb cinematography. It is a harrowing slice of genre cinema with horror elements that balances its chills with its social commentary wonderfully. #FFFF2026 #FantasticFest2026 #FilmFestival
Mārama brings the cultural heft of colonialism to a stunning-looking Gothic revenge-horror story. Add on a layer of creepy misogyny and a ghostly touch, and you have a fist-pump-worthy event. #HorrorSky #SupportIndieHorror #KiwiHorror
With marvelous production values and top-notch work on both sides of the camera, Ithaqua is a fright-fare fanatic’s delight. Strongly recommended! An outstanding entry in the subgenre of wild frontier fear fare. #SupportIndieHorror #HorrorSky #HorrorFamily
Brooklyn Horror Film Festival is preparing to kick off its 2026 program. If you are a New York horror fan, head to the Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg for a spooky season film spectacular! #FilmFestival #BHFF2026 #HorrorFamily
Sydney’s Dark Nights Film Fest is living up to its name, bringing some of the heaviest, creepiest fright fare to Australia. The 2026 lineup boasts unnerving horror shorts and a strong candidate for feel-bad film of the year, Can Evrenol’s The Turkish Coffee Table. #FilmFestival #DNFF2026
The Dead And SudBuried Horror Film Festival returns to the sleepy market town of Sudbury, Suffolk for its 10th Anniversary edition, expanding to four days and welcoming movies from all over the world, celebrating new and classic horror movies! #FilmFestival #DASH2026 #HorrorFamily
Break a Leg is a two-hander horror rom-com that deftly packs in more character arcs than a sine wave convention. Australian Kaitlin Boyé’s feature directorial debut reveals a filmmaker of immense potential. #PopcornFrights2026 #FilmFestival #HorrorFamily
Demonetize documents the story of failed TV ghost chasers who concoct a scheme to recover their fame. They invite a group of online influencers to draw out ghosts that are attracted to content-creator vibes. Everybody gets more than they bargained for. #PopcornFrights2026 #FilmFestival #IndieHorror
The End of Oak Street is the most fun I’ve had at the movies in 2026! It is without a doubt the best dinosaur movie since the original Jurassic Park film, feeling like an old EC Weird Science tale or a Twilight Zone episode. #BigScreenFun #HorrorFamily #Dinosaurs
Adult animation can be a wild, confusing ride. Big City Pizza shoots for the moon and hits a bullseye with its hypnotic and amusing slice of pizza life. #PopcornFrights2026 #FilmFestival #IndieHorror #HorrorFamily
Cat Cam marries up the themes of Paranormal Activity and Good Boy. It utilizes stationary cameras (by way of “cat cams”) to document the goings-on of a haunted house. #IndieHorror #PopcornFrights2026 #FilmFestival
Short stories can be a good way to ease into horror; just read one or two and then take a break to make sure you’re not freaking yourself out too much. Sadly, that plan doesn't work for the collection captured here. Every single one of these seventeen tales is some creepy, spooky stuff! #BookReport
Stylish but stiff, this subterranean horror show utilizes stock characters and subjects them to a predictable script. The monster is visually impressive until it moves and reveals itself to be an awkward puppet. #CreatureFeature #HorrorSky #HorrorFamily
Backrooms will be a landmark film, like The Blair Witch Project or One Cut of the Dead. Films that announced the arrival of something fresh and hugely successful, from minimal beginnings. Also, it will forever be paired with Obsession as representing a changing of the cinema guard. #HorrorSky
Don’t go looking for the next Alejandro Jodorowsky, because this ain't that. Do go looking for a fun, gory mess from one of horror’s greatest indie directors who’s found a a way to forge a company (The Horror Section) that develops, finances, produces, and distributes horror films. #HorrorSky
Once again, the UK’s most popular genre festival offers a delightfully deadly dose of horror to disgust, delight and demoralize, with four short film showcases, curated to unleash the newest terrifying gems from the UK and across the world. #ShortFilms #FrightFest #FilmFestival #HorrorSky
This stylish and gleefully gory action-horror-comedy takes on a familiar theme and injects it with nitro boosters. This is a fan-favorite film from the 2026 festival circuit, now available on HBO. #HorrorSky #Badassery #HorrorFamily
Director San Schaffer’s surreal psychosexual thriller Electric Meat enjoys its world premiere at London’s Tubi FrightFest on 28th August, 2026. We have the brand new trailer, poster, and some images for you and by the looks of things, this is going to be a wild one. #SupportIndieHorror #HorrorSky
In a meta reboot brimming with promise, the re-imagined Anaconda (2025) lost the plot early and often. The cast? Star packed. The trailer? Very funny. The concept? Surprisingly original, but the story meanders and squanders the core ideas. #MissedTheMark #HorrorSky #CreatureFeature
This low budget affair is impressive on multiple fronts. The true camaraderie among the roommates and Uncle Heppy is fun, authentic, and most importantly, believable. All the actors play perfectly against type and each other in a symbiotic and silly fashion. #HorrorSky #PhysicalMedia
Hungry (2026) presents a rampaging hippopotamus that wrecks an alligator-touring flatboat group in the Louisiana bayou. Capable and earnest performances and impressive visuals bolster what would otherwise be a by-the-numbers production. #HippoHorror #HorrorFamily #HorrorSky
Evil Dead: Burn is a white-knuckle ride. All gas, no brakes, with copious amounts of gory violence but not a whole lot of plot. For some, that’s a thrill. For others, it may prove exhausting. #NotRaimi #StillFunThough #EvilDead #Franchise
Employment in the modern world can be… a Grind. Grind is a timely anthology that neatly stitches together how working for Mega-Corporations can erode your identity and may cost you more than a small paycheck. If you ever thought “This job is gonna kill me.” Grind will resonate with you. #PHFF2026
Friday the 69th puts forth a gonzo premise: What if a porn studio tried to rescue its fortunes by going straight and making a mainstream horror movie? The comedy is a bit uneven, but it hits often enough to put a smile on your face. #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #SupportIndieHorror
The Horror Short Film Director Roundtable is one of the most important things that we did at the Portland Horror Film Festival. It provided an elevated platform for horror short filmmakers. Oftentimes, this is ground zero for original horror ideas. #Interview #SupportIndieHorror #ShortFilms #PHFF
Sometimes it takes an indie version of a classic to make the story scary again. Dracula: The Night Around Us is exactly that. It's a dark, brooding, modern take on the Bram Stoker classic. #SupportIndieHorror #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #Dracula
The Bloody Judge for the 2026 Portland Horror Film Festival was Andrea Subissati, the Executive Editor of Rue Morgue. She is one of the most compelling voices within the horror community, and is a powerful advocate for women within the genre. #WomenInHorror #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival
The Frogman is back! The first Frogman was something of a found footage cult hit. Now, both the actual film and the film within the film have a bigger budget, and the results go gonzo crazy. #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #FrogmanFucks #HorrorFamily
Landlord poses the question “If vampires can’t come into your home without an invitation, what happens if they own your housing?”. For a first time feature, this is an engrossing movie that succeeds in so many ways. #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #HorrorSky #Review #DirectorInterview
My Bloody Valentine turns 45 years old this year. The director, George Mihalka, was the guest of honor at this year’s Portland Horror Film Festival. He was kind enough to hang out and chat with the Scariest Things. #Interview #PHFF2026 #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #HorrorSky
The Demonatrix is a cheeky, lightly racy horror-comedy that reflects on the economic troubles of the time. A dominatrix looking to get some extra income turns to hosting fake séances to make ends meet. #PortlandHorrorFilmFestival #PHFF2026 #SupportIndieHorror #HorrorSky
What starts off as a creepy little film about a curse spirals into one of the most uncomfortable viewing experiences you've seen. #MexicanHorror #HorrorSky #Curses
Sure, it shares a name with the notorious (and notoriously bad) Faces of Death (1978). The twist? This one's actually a blast. 💀 #HorrorSky #Homage #InfluencerHorror
The Dead Place is a story that you’ve seen before, but it remains a story that needs to be told. Bullying is bad. Mental health is important. Families are complicated. In all cases, the editorial for these all-too-important topics could be have been far more sharp. #HorrorSky #SupportIndieHorror
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 - Graphic sex, graphic violence, with a clever twist that sends the story careening off in an unexpected direction. The latest book by Derek Vasconi. #BookReport #SupportIndieHorror #HorrorSky
Horror films today often tilt towards the academic and erudite. Sure there’s still a wealth of garbage floating around out there including Spiders on a Plane and Meth Gator. However, these two worlds — trash and highbrow — seldom come together in perfect harmony. #Sharks #HorrorSky #SoMuchRain
Obsession is the latest movie to apply the Monkey’s Paw wish dilemma. Be careful what you wish for. This independent horror gem is an example of how original storytelling and great performances can launch a tiny-budget movie into the box-office stratosphere. #SupportIndieHorror #HorrorSky
Indie horror filmmakers Gabby Rosson and Emily Tullock are creating Trash Queen, a sci-fi horror comedy, starring Tullock and legendary scream queen Lynn Lowery. They joined the Scariest Things to talk about what goes into developing a self-funded independent horror film. #Interview #SupportIndies
The Sect, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis’ older sister Kelly, is a wild mashup of ideas, images, and narrative that could only come from the mind of Dario Argento. While Argento didn’t direct The Sect his writing brought to life the fantastical. #HorrorSky #Argento #HorrorFamily
The Thing Expanded is a love letter — or rather a love encyclopedia (5 hours!) — to horror fans. By carefully exploring all facets of the film, horror fans are treated to a package of stories and history that they might not have ever encountered. #Documentary #TheThing #RequiredViewing #HorrorSky

If you’re a horror fan then this film has been on your must see list for quite some time. Good news! The wait was worth it. This trailer pulls zero, and we do mean ZERO, punches. #TrailerAlert #HorrorFamily #HorrorSky
