my new emo chiptune album A PLACE TO KEEP YOU is out now!! <3 I'm taking my intricate, glitchy arrangements to new horizons! this is my first release with vocals - practicing songwriting has been hugely rewarding. this record blends live instrumentation with authentic chiptune (Gameboy, NES, SNES)!

I think next week I'm gonna finally set up a blog section of my website. it'll be a pretty manual, simple thing, but the itch to do some longer-form writing grows stronger all the time

I'm not sure how else to tell you guys this but my album is really out there, it's just up on the internet and you could listen to it at any time. multiple times even. you could buy it, you could preorder the vinyl, and I wouldn't be surprised if somebody on slsk had it shared. it's out in the world

well hey, it's Bandcamp Friday and my new album is out!! it's chiptune with vocals and live instrumentation - heartfelt emo lyrics with open questions and open conclusions. a good bittersweet album to accompany the present change of seasons. I'm so so proud of it! h-v-b.bandcamp.com/album/a-plac...

TOMORROW!!!

Chiptune is an environmentally conscious medium - we save game boys from becoming landfill. We're also a scene committed to human rights and protection of marginalized communities (see: many many chiptune charity comps), why throw that away to the energy guzzling + air pollution industry?

Instead of using AI to help you make chiptune trackers, I recommend finding community in like-minded devs to help you do that. Seemed to work pretty well for the Furnace Tracker folks.

it's two days until ALBUM TIME

fresh new wall courtesy of the many artists at our comic con last weekend!

I am in fact just stupid enough to have edited the recruit names in the ROM for my fresh FFTA playthrough to make this a reality

(I'm playing the drums on a Vinyl Freaking Record !!!)

so excited to have played a part in this album by a good friend and one of my favorite musicians in the world. dami breaks new ground with every release and what I've heard of this one so far is really special. wow the packaging looks great too I can't wait to get my hands on it

Had the honor of doing the design for my good friend @samplemance.rs's forthcoming album!! This was so much fun to work on & lots of care was poured into it. (It's really good u should totally pre-order it & stuff ok!)

OK I may have lied about this but it is SO close to being Album Time™ and I'm SO excited to share it very soon. it's been a super fulfilling project, and I've been working with some wonderful people on it who've all elevated it supremely. no shortage of awesome new music out today - go exploring 🎧‼

today marked 2 years since I moved to port land! it's crazy time has flown this fast. if year1 was about getting my bearings and learning what this city offers, year2 was about deliberately branching out. I hope to do more of that in year3 and get more deeply involved in the places I have branched!

saw a linux user asking where people get their music if not from apple streaming... everyone was saying youtube. kids, where is your hard drive full of mp3s??? we have failed you

went out hiking with an old friend after magwest - was wonderful being back in california for a few days

it's another beautiful day to pick up this beautiful physical record of mine! Bandcamp's cut of sales is waived today. who doesn't want FM chiptune on analog media!? I think it's awesome. sweet glitchy PC-98 tones spinning round and round and round...

this is the last bandcamp friday before I will have a new album of my own to share...! very close to completing this new idea-synthesis. please look forward to it, enjoy my multifarious previous releases in the meantime, and buy music! support artists, today and every day! fucking delete spotify!

meanwhile streets in Seattle are just named shit like John, Denny, Thomas and Pine

Seattle seems to me a city of extremes: the richest and poorest people, the biggest corporations and the most fiercely anticapitalist, the best and the worst coffee you've had in your entire life

we played mahjong today at the park under the bridge at the jazz festival that cost zero dollars and I ate yummy filipino food and I love my city
