58 years ago today, the world of Motor Racing stood still in shock at the winking out of its brightest star. James Clark OBE, tragically perished in a Formula 2 race at Hockenheim, Germany. He remains the benchmark for racing drivers everywhere. March 4 1936-April 7 1968

It was shot with a Nikon D5 (last mfg in 2020) and AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens. Interesting to note because the earth is illuminted from light reflecting off the moon (the earth is actually eclipsing the sun), Cmdr Reid Wiseman had to use a shutter speed of 1/4 of second and ISO of 51200!

CBS turned their news operation into propaganda, kicked Colbert off the air for making too much trouble, and all that just to have Charles Barkley go on the air on one of their most-watched telecasts of the year and say this lmao

"The way some of these other immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace... I think what’s going on in our country — what we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants, is really unfortunate and it’s really sad." - Charles Barkley on CBS

This poster is so emblematic of Ferrari. It's striking in its minimalism and in the way they pay homage to Japan. They take the time to create a page on their site crediting the artist. But then they misspell the circuit name and ruin it all with the blue sponsor logo. 🤦

Just finished listening to this "99% Invisible" episode. It always angers me when I'm stuck at a red light and there are no cars going through either direction. The intersection is a limited resource; the lights should be designed to allow a continuous flow. 99percentinvisible.org/episode/serv...

11 years ago I’ve made first commit on the project that would later be known as Ionide. A lot has changed over all those years, but one thing remains - the biggest value of the project has been meeting awesome people from F# community, many of whom I’m proud to call friends. #fsharp
